Yeah, that was a bit offputting at first for me. But you can play as a giant beetle who throws boulders around and it's ridiculously easy to disrespect people because a lot of different moves can spike. The bird dude does his smash attacks in the air so he can spike by stomping on people which is fucking awesome.

Just know that it's still in early access. Really just missing single-player shit now, but there might be more characters released post-launch. Only 8 right now.
I think it would really benefit them to do a free weekend, though.

Basically. It's meant to be based on Melee, I guess. But there are no ledge grabs (more recovery options, though. Wall jumps let you use your up+b again, too), no blocking (parry system instead. If you parry your opponent they go into hitstun and their projectiles are reflected) and no grabs. It can get pretty fast but it's tough to find decent footage to show it off because most people making videos of it still are shit, and there have been a LOT of changes throughout the patches. I think this footage is a couple patches old, but it's recent enough. I've been shilling the fuck out of this game because I really want to see it do well. It's a lot of fun to play but the only person I have to play with is my brother, and I'm way, way better than him.

Well I mean I can play with it under DINPUT mode but I can't change my binds, which is the major problem.

It's not letting you? Ingame or through the program that's supposed to work with the controller, or what? I don't know much about using a GCN controller on PC.

The mayflash software doesn't let you rebind anything. And the games rebind options are either a misnomer and don't work, or they only rebind for your keyboard and nothing else.

They definitely worked for my controller. I'm not sure how they would work for that, though. There's probably a subreddit you could ask on if you're willing to actually go to that site. Otherwise, I don't know enough about it to help. All I could find was that the adapter should be set to PC mode, but I'm guessing it already is. Might as well refund the game if you can't get it to work.

Well it's not that big of a deal considering the game is already setup for the default smash layout with a GC controller. The only thing I'd like to change is that my left bumper/trigger is set to jump instead of dodge/roll for easier jumping. But otherwise it's not a big deal
