who gives a shit? only thing I want to hear from them is that they are going bankrupt and committing mass ritual suicide over it

Team Fortress 2 is the Simpsons of video games.

holy shit, you're right

I love TF2, but this just kicks me right in the bollocks. The worst part is that it is too true.

Only thing I want to hear is that they're making a Disgaea game with a decent budget in a genre other than strategy-RPG. Preferably something more adventure/RPG style, ideally something that plays like Zelda. I love the Disgaea setting and characters and style and all but I am way past sick of that strategy RPG gameplay it always has.

Still waiting for them to make "The Tux" a marketable item.

I like Disgaeas world too but its fucking NISA. They dont deserve my time nor money after the way they have started treating their fans. Let them die.

So what does that make Overwatch? Futurama?

those arms are fucked up

Top view would be like this

…I can see the comparison!

I don't know what else I'm missing

Futurama was good, Overwatch is shit.

DISGAEA 5 FOR NON-BLOODBORNE STATION WHEN??

Family Guy.

loonixfags btfo again

OH FUCK THERE'S A SHOOTING ON THE STAGE

Any new shit for the best platform that isnt Phantom Brave?

Is it a Muslim?

Sammy boy is on it again

Everytime

every thread

I haven't given them my money in a long time, I'm just saying what would change that. Really, I've been holding out for non-strategy RPG Disgaea since Disgaea 2. And that was before it was popular to hate them.

I will stab you through the Internet.

This is the correct answer. It's normalfag pandering.

Are Valve even pretending they give two shits about maintaing TF2 these days? The last content update was last December. And that was those stupid fucking contracts. The last update before that was that poorly done Aliens fan-update.

Everything else has been promotional cosmetics.

He's talking about Overwatch, user.

Well, I have egg on my face.

Supposedly there's a big update "right around the corner"

Seriously? They said the same thing when they didn't produce a new Scream Fortress for the first time since the event started. Hell, they STILL haven't updated the fucking TF2 comic.

What the fuck does Valve even DO these days? Icefrog handles Dota and all they do is upload cosmetics in TF2 and CS:GO. They haven't announced any new games and their steam machine is largely outsourced.

What. Do. They. Do?

LOTS OF MONEY

VR

...

Overwatch being Futurama would've required it be absolutely spectacular before a revival, I'd liken it more to Family Guy where it wasn't ever really good and it'll only get worse and more full of itself later

Make money. Soon about to be raped by the Federal Trade Comission and FBI for doing nothing about the illegal gambling economy in CS:GO. They will escape legal charges but Gabe's going to be dragged to DC to explain his shit to Congress and the Senate.

If it looks like they will get hit I bet Gabe will dump it off to M$ as soon as he can and let their highly priced lawyers deal with it.

Any sources for this? I'm not sure I get how VALVE is responsible for people gambling.

never, they must continue to produce fap material

>the weapon designs; the character designs; even the fucking colours of certain parts of the map were meticulously chosen

I don't get it

They're getting sued for operating an illegal gambling service (the crates in CS:GO), I think.

From what I know it's just some guy who got butthurt that he got a bunch of shitty skins

you mean people who want to extend the life span of a game that would long be dead so they can continue to milk it?

See here

Valve made loot drops like Gatcha slots and a gambling community emerged using the Steam API letting it hook into your account. It turned out it was being run by two popular youtubers who were rigging the system.

The youtubers are fucked and Valve's going to have to explain to the feds why the fuck a billion dollar illegal gambling service was operated within their framework

Doesn't that also apply to TF2 and Dota?

I thought you meant how people gamble on the outcomes of Dota and CS:GO matches.

Hats didn't save Portal 2's online.
TF2 was doing fine without all this cosmetic bullshit.

Probably, but as far as I know the suit is only talking about CS:GO.

The content updates WERE important, though.

Remember that the game had four game modes at launch: CP, CTF, TC, and Arena. Of those four, two are dead and one (CTF) is mostly considered a joke mode.

Could it expand to include TF2 and Dota?

Either way, I hadn't heard anything about this before now. Why would this go all the way up to Washington?

Aha…

Feels like Valve has been getting into too much trouble these days (Besides this, I've heard of them being challenged by Australia and Europe over one of their policies in the past)

illegal gambling is a federal offense.

You mean Attack/Defend?

Aus/Europe was what led to refunds, I believe.

I'm not a lawyer, I have no clue.
Oh, the content updates are one thing, add cancer like weapon skins and hats is another.

Capture Point is Attack/Defend. Wasn't Arena one of the launch modes? I could have sworn it was since it was so defunct from the beginning. The only other mode that's done so poorly without being entirely cut was special delivery.

Arena was only added during the Heavy Update in 2008

Fie on me, then.

And Europe/Australia is going to also run a rape train on Valve over illegal, unlicensed gambling that was accessible to people under 18. Especially since lately Japan has started bringing in legislation on Gatcha mobile games due to some companies using it as an illegal gambling front.

And we haven't even started talking about the possibility of even more class action suits against Valve across the globe regarding this.

And NISA is still going bankrupt so kek

It's all good, I see people make the same mistake with Payload all the time

tf2 was fucked without updates, for all the thought they supposedly put in to the game it was outright broken, balance wise. putting thought in to something doesnt make it perfect.
another huge factor is the mapping community, which portal didnt seem to have a big following for.

PS3 Orange Box's TF2 was the biggest clusterfuck I've ever played in my life, live-TF2's balance has its problems but I sure as fuck wouldn't pick launch TF2 over it.

The first few seasons were okay but after the first movie you saw the writing on the walls.

I don't think enough emphasis can be placed on this. Pyro didn't even have fucking airblast at launch and the Spy had a delay for backstabs. They BARELY caught Demo before launch- he had a capacity of six instead of four grenades through most of the beta.

There's also a lot of quality of life changes, too. Engineer couldn't move buildings and teles/dispensers couldn't be upgraded.

That only happened after the reboot. The first few seasons are solid gold.

Oh yeah, it was unbalanced as shit. The Demo was ungodly powerful and Pyro was fucking worthless, but it's even worse now.
Last I played Pyro has items that allows him to switch weapons practically instantly, get crits with the axe on a flaming player and has a shotgun that crits on air-blasted enemies.
That's one hundred times more unbalanced than pre-nerf Demo.

Reading is fun m8!

He said that in the same post, were you not paying attention?

In fairness to that guy, I'd totally forgotten the chronology of seasons vs. movies until you pointed that out.

That's what you get for trusting Valve.

Look at the green text. You didn't say the show had been infused AFTER the reboot, you said it was future Simpsons infused with PC and SJW culture.

What doe valve do?
Fuck around with source 2, VR and make money off the steam store. I think there's suppose to be a L4D3 in the works, but really, that's about it.

Like tears in the rain man, like tears in the rain.

Would they REALLY make a L4D3? Turtle Rock split and L4D2 got some nasty blowback.

it also came out 7 years ago. if anything, they'll just call it Left 4 Dead: Subtitle.

depends on how good he is with that airblast otherwise hes still a very vulnerable class.
in any case, they nerfed the shit out of "puff n sting", many pyro tears are shed in every tf2 thread we have.

ANYTHING ABOUT NON GAMBLING NIS VIDYA YOU DERAILING FUCKS?

...

Shut the fuck up you insufferable faggot.
This isn't even news, they fucking announced the hats over a week ago.

1. The shotgun does mini-crits, not crits, and was nerfed.
2. ALL of Pyros tricks require him to be in close quarters, where ALL damage ramps up (Heavy deals four times his DPS and Scout can two shot him)
3. The Axtinguisher was nerfed so it deals mini-crits, even though it was seen as gimmicky and risky by most players.

Never have I wanted two products to die out of pity, and another two to die out of anger.

You fucking faggots.

Axtinguisher's back to full crits though it has a slower swing speed now and is brought out more slowly. Literally nobody used it after they nerfed it to minicrits and tried to make it function like a backstab where it would only full-crit if hitting a burning player from behind.

...

Etna is old news.

Actually, we haven't had a very popular in porn Disgaea character in a long time, huh?

there hasnt been much porn of disgaea since d2. which is a fucking huge shame. seraphina is ripe for porn, and theres plenty of new girl generics that are all but ignored

Yes, we haven't had any sexy girls. Of course.

...

...

disgaea is not a series that gets that much porn to begin with

Who are you quoting?

what are you saying?

Does wanting to plow prinnies also introduce a furry element to it, or are they more monster than furry?

the disgaea series doesnt get a lot of porn, how is that hard to understand

unless you mean fuka yes its rather furry

not recently it hasnt but it sure used to.

we can dream

To…?

If anything like that happened, Gaben would just cut his loses and sell the whole thing to Microshit or worse and just retire to be a fat billionaire fuck like Notch

...

dream about what? what exactly is that going to help?

I can't help it. They're so adorable and pitiable.

How on earth…? They run a near monopoly on PC game sales and take a 15-30% cut out of each transaction.

i hope you like exploded dick

The poor little criminal anime penguins.

Closure. Even if the story turns out to be shit or they sell it to Bethesda, I will at least be able to forget the series. It will be a closed book for me from then on.

I mean, I can understand being into cute and helpless things, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't catch me off guard.

...

China.

ah yes, then whtever chinese company acquires it can get in to a huge legal battle with whoever made that tf2 ripoff, completely destroying their economy

That's just trading one pain away for another.

Why are you namefagging?

...

Chinese company makes so much money from a ripoff, that they buy the real thing.
I kinda want it to happen.

The better question is what does that make Battleborn

The Cleveland Show?

Bob's Burgers

Bland, unfunny, barely remembered even by the people that like it

Brickleberry

Perfect.

That shit was the sour cream of that genera. It was okay if you have absolutely nothing else on but god damn is it predictable and bland.

I like this comparison, no one knows about it and a much more well liked alternative exists parallel to it

That show is vomit inducingly awful, shock humor is not funny if its the only fucking joke in the entire show

It's weird you're talking about them like that considering you also want to fuck them up the ass.

If you want an actual answer, you will have to accept that probably only half of the people at valve are now game developers. They will have many more things like economists, statisticians (you will need some to make your games esport friendly and thus fair), some hardware designers. And probably a whole lot of other shit. Obviously they will have programmers and artists and level designers, but I doubt the majority of their company is still what you would generally think of as game developers.
Valve has become more of a research vessel. Check out some of their speeches on developer conferences. Things like microtransactions in TF2 were really a testing ground. Even CS:GO is sometimes used as testing ground for new ways to make money. They are also heavily investing in VR, probably mostly to the benefit of other developers (which then sell through steam so valve gets its share).

You do also have to take note that valve is one of the few large companies that is not publicly traded. They have no reason to announce a new game until rather shortly before release. They don't have to care about atracting investors or shit like that. I bet you most companies wish they didn't have to announce projects long before release.

I wonder how many kicks into the nuts they need for them to stop being so open with their goddamn systems and start having better quality control.

I think "F is for Family" is a better comparison then because the game is still fine, not worth the time.

My favorite was the game that used assets ripped from Half Life 2.

While I understand that they spend a lot more time providing a service to the market, they don't seem to be doing more than the absolute bare minimum in regards to that.

I'm certain they provide good data for the industry, but Steam's current state is a disgusting mess. They don't even TRY to curate the store or enact any sort of quality control.

...

that's because the goal of Steam is not to get you on their store, it's to get themselves onto your computer.

As a matter of fact, no.
I wouldn't a Prinny.

Am I the only one happy that there is no quality control on steam? I can make my own bloody choices. They have player ratings and currators (not that I use those, but some are kind of interesting), I have online reviews on youtube and the like. I don't want them to put limits on quality. I have played some low quality games that did a certain thing right making me love them. I also don't want them to start mixing up "quality" and "politically correct" and the like. The less reasons they have to block anything, the better. I can make my own choice. And if that means there are a thousand stupid indie titles that I will never buy, so be it. Its not like its hard to filter out 90% of the shit titles based on name and icon alone. Their software could be better, but you people really need to start seeing no handholding as a good thing.

I'd rather not see games with stolen assets or false advertising be allowed to make money, period. Further, Steam has helped sponsor the growth of early access and all the cancer that brings to the table.

Reminder that GOGshills will use everything to shit on Steam while their favorite company stops Shmups and Japanese games from being released there.
Both are shit in their own ways.

Its called Unity
And I like how things are progressing.
Plentu of Nip games are finding its home there as well.

lewdgamer.com/2016/04/16/gahkthun-of-the-golden-lightning-now-available-on-steam-uncensored/

Poetry in motion.

dropped

Its very hard to filter those out for any market. With the majority of stolen assets cases, you have to rely on customers recognizing them.

Early access is cancer indeed. But I don't really care. That cancer could be solved by making it easier to refund early access titles that do not deliver. For example if they also made the refund possible when an early access title goes out of early access or if it does not get an update for 3+ months. Early access isn't a bad thing, just like kickstarter is, its just much easier to abuse then to use it in the best possible way. but adding some safeguards could solve those problems. Look at those 5 minute playtime indie games that flared up before refunds. Now with 14 days less than 2 hours played refunds being automatic, those are no longer a problem. They will not make money.

I am also not a believer of copyright law, so I don't really consider stolen assets a problem. Although in the current market it does tend to only be used for scams or very low quality work.

Dark Souls os the Souls-like of movies

This is you.

Gearbox Software

You're kidding, right?

>>>/suicide/

...

Garbage.

...

...

People were fool by this bad photoshop

Gamer gurl console peasants pls go

but thats real user

CS competitive is completely different from arena FPS, and TF is also going toward something different as well.

Seconded. And isn't it acceptable to show empathy to those you fuck?

Actually earbuds are only $5 now.

naw they're getting around that whole ordeal by the items not being real or tradable for real money.
because remember, you can only trade for steam funbucks which are non refundable

If you're going on the surface elements then yes Overwatch is to Futurama as TF2 is to Simpsons, but the game is more of an oversimplified and inconsistent corporate product so I think Family Guy would be more appropriate, since Futurama was actually better than the Simpsons, and obviously overshill is not better than TF2 in any way.

The clan servers I can deal with if I just mute everyone but I fucking hate the 24/7 map bullshit.

Community servers are largely dead because of the introduction of quickplay. There are only a few left, and most of the people who populate them are regulars.

Valve servers, while containing people of questionable intelligence, are usually much better experiences. You can get some pretty great screenshots like this, though.

yeah it's estimate to be out…sometime around hl3

I hope that knife becomes a melee reskin

It's a cosmetic.

WHY

we already have that venture bros knife cosmetic

screenshot thread?

Valve only added refunds on the day before European Union/Australia wide bans on the steam service came into force.

They tried to stop it and both countries stopped them at every attempt with the same reasoning "Let customers refund game purchases or else"

Also, what Disgaea stuff is being added to tf2?

I recognize the map in that last picture, I think. Golden Machine Gun's achievement_chambers?

All-class hat that looks like a Prinny's face, all-class Prinny pouch, Prinny's swordbreaker dagger apparently for Soldier and Demo.

Yes, before everything became nofun

TF2 is more balanced than it ever was. If hats ruin that for you, there's a mod that will remove them.

You see how GMG ended up completely dying? It was fucking spectacular, admin ragequit everything and took down all the servers (including one of the few TTT servers still available for Gmod that wasn't irreparably infected by 12-year-olds), later tried bringing back Chambers thinking it was a good idea to constantly host an alpha version of a map that didn't even have a spawn for one team instead of just hosting an old version of the map. Community bled out because there wasn't even a hangout map anymore, just an overly-detailed lobby and I think that stupid Forgiveness script he wrote where if somebody kills you enough times you can kick him for being a meanie head.

I don't get what his deal was with refusing to rehost older versions of maps he'd made in the interim, I remember him being an autist about not hosting an older version of that Tunnels map the entire friggin community said they liked better than the current version.

in my experience great servers never end well
I ran a popular one. It ended horribly
the memories are there though and thats all that matters.
