I don't think that is so "everyone wins". There are no deathmatch style fights. You're K/D is irrelevant and right now because of 3rd party sites that track this data, you have people throwing matches because they don't want to ruin their K/D.

It's fucking infuriating since there are parts of a match where it is deliberately designed to throw yourself into the meat grinder. Or zones designed to be taken if your whole team goes into it together. But people don't want to lose their standing on a ladder so they will hang back and cause you to lose the match.

It doesn't seem like it's an offensively bad game. It seems like it's just another shallow, slow multiplayer game with a very low skill ceiling, very bland level design, and superfluous content being in place of meaningful content.

But all of these things combined with it being a multiplayer title just means I don't care about it. I don't care about peoples stories with it, I don't care about the art, the porn, the characters, the game in any way. I don't even want to see it, it's just boring as hell for me. It's just such a "safe" game, it pushes no boundaries and does nothing exceptional. I don't got time for that.

True, I wouldn't say the Overwatch cast would make for more interesting character interactions than the TF2 cast in the comics, considering how rather shallow and clichéd most of the Overwatch cast tends to be.

Thing is, Overwatch has better team synergy and interactions in game. In tf2, things usually boil down to everyman for himself, excluding engineer and medic. Overwatch has characters that actually compliment each other.

I'm not a fan of character based shooters like WaifuWatch and TF2. I genuinely only enjoy Tribes because of projectiles and fast. I gave WaifuWatch a try and it's just too samey.

I love Zarya, and there is very little fan art of her and most of the charm is the way she talks to Reinhardt and others that sells it for me. Though some of it may be me fantasizing about her being cool more than it is actually shown

Eh, played through the Beta and got my fill of it, think I m over assfaggot shit and if you don't have friends to play with there really isn't any reason to play, especially for 40 bucks. Except most of the lines in TF2 that you could say were already in there on release, the only lines they added that were for character interaction and expanded character depth were the specific domination lines. People knew the medic's sadistic mad scientist personality long before Meet the Medic and because of his voice actor he didn't get new lines for the longest time despite everyone else getting them.

Yes, the game repeats itself, but as for me, each match feels new with new opponents, new ways to play, new strategies to learn and try, it's just a long journey of learning the game, there's no point where you'd already know everything about the game and thus put it to rest. Seeking challenge and possibly a place in the leaderboards, its all well worth in my books.

I suggest giving the game a try, if anybody is being hesistant of buying it.
I'd say its worth to try even if you don't end up liking the game.
Also, all games are enjoyable with friends, so get few buddies to have fun together

Counters are a bad thing? are you complaining that you cant only play 1 character in a team based game and that you have to adapt to the map, to your own team or the enemy team? Are you one of those retards that only wants to play sniper or something?
They are meant to be strong. Everyone has them. Coordinate how to use them to attack or defend. Many ultimates can easily be ruined by simple things as a basic shield or just killing the healer first which you should be doing in the first place anyway.
But having counters and ultimates unlike TF2 is also bad? If it is like TF2 its bad. If its not like TF2 its also bad. Characters have roles, reinhart is like the demoknight? Is the demoknight a tank in tf2? There are character archetypes that overlap but they dont need to reinvent the wheel with them

Ultimate counters, unlike the ubercharge counter, don't reset on death.

That means every noob will eventually get their Ultimate and most beginner fuides recommend using your Ultimate as soon as you get it since "saving" it for the perfect moment is just a waste since you're getting another soon anyway.

Ultimates are a poor game design choice solely used to provide instant gratification to noobs.

Honzo is the biggest offender of this. His arrows can be the size of a truck at times. Many times I would watch a replay of a arrow clearly missing me and still hitting. Essentially, a sniper that barely has to aim. Reinhart's hammer has some odd hitboxes too. I understand it's anti Genji and Lucio (who want to dance around the payload) but his fire launching attack can even hit behind him. Or his hammer swing hitting directly above him.

The lack of depth is what keeps me from this game. I don't feel like I'm learning anything new besides how to coordinate better. Who beats who or who is best in what situation is already established after playing for 15+ hours. I think the biggest offense is the lack of quality music, the 20 tick rate, and so many damn slippery surfaces. You can't really get creative over where to approach from thanks to that.

They said the same thing about Skyrim. I think OW is good but everyone saying it's good doesn't mean shit.
