Man, today is pretty boring in terms of vidya. What games are you playing to pass the time?

Man, today is pretty boring in terms of vidya. What games are you playing to pass the time?

Been playing a bit of Overmeme and 7th Dragon III: Code VFD myself.

Overwatch, Tropico 5, Diablo 3, Fallout 4 Survival Mode
On PS4

Hi Todd

I'm playing Trails in the Sky after abandoning it for months. The charactets are charming and likable but fuck everything is generic and slow as shit. I just finished chapter 1 and absolutely fucking nothing interesting is happening, it's just traveling the world being boy scouts and everything is sunshine and rainbows with only minor problems you have to solve.

People in glass houses etc.

good point

...

It's shit. Can't believe I wasted my time playing it, fuck all the faggots who shilled the game here as the "greatest jrpg in years!"
It never gets better either. Enjoy being the Boy Scout the entire game.

to be fair, I've only have five hours into it. It's basically Team Fortress 3. a shit game, but fun with friends.

I'm more of a Ys guy, but I'm liking Trails of Cold Steel myself.

...

It's not my fault my friends like eating shit, don't bully me user.

My backlog.

Red Faction Armageddon is fun if you mostly limit yourself to using the magnet gun

More like Team Fortress: ASSFAGGOTS Edition
Pretty much anything multiplayer is. That's not a point in favor of any fucking game.

Then whip those poor fucks into shape. What kind of friend are you letting them buy this and what kind of friends are they for bullying you into wasting your money! Stand up for yourself, for god's sake.

Any game is fun with friends.
The first ever video game console was built around the idea of "it's fun with friends".

I know, I know. It's not a very good game.

you're right, I'll strongly consider buying them all Sanic Kart

The Saboteur is really fun if you're not easily triggered

Man, I really need to go back to that game. I have it somewhere but I've been busy with Nier.

Spacechem and quake live

Playing through Baroque on wii. Surprisingly addicting.

Its basically asscreed with guns but no polish.

I really love Sean.
There's just something about scrappy Irish brogues that's really fun to play as.

Dude, it's GTA with climbing.

Seconding this. The game is surprisingly fun, its open world has some really nice mechanics. I wish there was a sequel to polish the stuff.

Shame EA axed the studio because they didn't make enough money

Also I wouldn't call it GTA with climbing, it's a bit more unique then that.

What a monumentally idiotic statement.

Nope. When you have to liberate another fucking zone, collect another shitty fucking collectible and listen to another mission giver with no sense of self awareness the comparisons to GTA run thin.

I would definitely say it's closer to GTA than Assassin's Creed.
To be fair, the only AC games I've played were on my mom's 360 for all of 20 minutes.

its garbage but i keep on playing it.

okay musou game, titties give it a plus but it gets boring after a while.

game is bland but it gives me my zombie survival fix and also the game is easy as shit.

pretty fun.

Yesterday I finished Forward to the Sky.

What are you talking about? You definitely didn't need to grab them. You need to blow up various Nazi things, but I was always doing that while going from mission to mission anyway, so I never had that problem.

Devil May Cry (on emulator)
Evolution 1 (dreamcast)
Recently plundered GTA IV to play when I'm tired of either, need to work on modding it before investing a lot of time, though

Just because your friends eat shit doesn't mean you should, too.

extremely based
just play xonotic

No wonder its fucking boring
Get some fucking taste OP

Shit was Inglorious Basterds-level self-aware. The only semi-straight plays in the game was the cutscene where the frog who first dragged you into the resistance gets piled on in a cave and Dirker shooting himself in the head, which was immediately lightened by jumping off the Eiffel Tower.

...

just fuck my shit up fam

Isn't it dead as shit?
I'm really enjoying space chem, first time playing it. I love logistics stuff like this and factorio. Anything else like it?

7th dragon is way underrated.
>tfw no dating best girl

i've been playing Yakuza 5
it's put me in an oddly good mood today.
shinada has a really cool fighting style because of the baseball influence too.

Its been a long time since I got completely lost in vidya but last night I played Empire Earth with the Art of Conquest expansion.
I just made a map with two planets each composed of 5 large Islands. I then placed 3 civilizations on each planet.
By the end the player politics were closer to medieval politics in space with old grudges existing on each planet and a great costly war perpetually waged in space. then i looked up and it was 5 AM so I had to leave.
good shit tho.

How many of you actually played Overwatch?

I've been replaying Borderlands and having more fun than I thought I would, I might continue on to 2 if I don't get bored of the grind. Also been playing Grim dawn every now and then but have been struggling to settle on a character, going back and forth between a warder and blademaster right now.

Got bored of it before the free weekend was over, even with friends.
Now I'm one of the 3 in our group that doesn't have it. It's not shit, but it's soulless and has a low skill ceiling.

Not me.

I've been playing Killing Floor with some friends recently and we enjoyed it more than KF2. I'll never understand why Goywire doesn't admit that KF2 has horrible game design. All I wanted was KF1 with shinier graphics and pools of blood, but instead we got teleporting, shitty classes, a shitty versus mode and novidya goyworks.

There was/is a thread on Holla Forums, someone set up a server and we peaked at around 12 people, but it's empty now. I'm sure it could happen again if the thread is bumped
Not too sure, outside the other zachtronics games (infinifactory, TIS-100)

I'm gonna wait to see if it sticks or if its just a fad.

agreed, shame Sega doesn't give enough of a shit.

no u

Baroque is super neat. I really like it's whole feeling, even if it is grindy.

Play not shit games on your TV, then. It'll hurt less.

I thought it was a spiritual successor to Mercenaries. In fact, doesn't the main character share his last name with the pilot from 2?

probably doesn't help that ps2 looks like garbage on modern TVs. If you don't have an older TV give up and emulate.

Its a fad just like ASSFAGGOTS

we'll see.

Are you seriously going to buy something thats CoD/Battlefield tier?

You'd surprised how amazing it actually looks actually. Most games were made in a future-proof kind of way where they look great.
So far the only one that looks like ass is Okami.

how many breads have you eaten in your life

Overwatch shills get out.

...

I can consistently reach a lil bit >200 seconds in Devil Daggers and I've got about a 20% win ratio in advanced difficulty Minesweeper.
Gotta level up that autism stat.

Playing Persona Q. It's dope. Never played dungeon crawler rpg before. Played person 4 for like about 20 hours and it wasn't my cup of tea, much prefer this
Battle theme is dope

Replaying this trying different weapons. Going maxed out even on the hardest difficulty is just too easy so it's bit dull.

You'd like Etrian Odyssey then, since that's what Q was based on.

i was playing mario 3, beat wendy and then jacked off to porn of her for like 4 hours

I dove into Cave Story recently and I really like it!

yeah I might if its fun.

Played it on Hard recently, only bosses I had trouble with was Sam who I died to once and then fucking Armstrong.
Also fuck that Metal Gear Excelsus.
Rest was easy. I even got some S ranks on places I massively struggled with

Cave Story is amazing, I hope you enjoy it

Looking through games on Steam store for anything I can pick up with pocket change during the sale or pirate, if I'm particularly inclined.

These ones any good?

Been playing Persona 3 FES since I woke up this morning

Couple days away from New Year's Eve and I can't be arsed to go to Tartarus day after day anymore. I just want to progress in the story already

Just play cards with Yukari every night. It'll make the days go by faster, and you can spend time with the best girl.

Considering the fact that I've made the most progress in her social link out of all of the main girls, I might just do that to max out Lovers sooner

Tried to start playing god hand, but I'm having a hard time winning the fights without save states, which is kinda cheating. I'm a post-grad student that needs coffee everyday to keep an acceptable level of productivity, I feel sad that I can't deal anymore with high-speed/high-reflexes kind of games. But it's not so bad that I can't play Ys though

I wanna go back and play avernum escape from the pit, but I lost like 10 hours because I forgot to back up my save again before formatting my computer

...

Icewind Dale
fucking skeletons everywhere, they're all over the damn place

it gets dark in the last chapter had mixed feelings about it
and yeah, the only good about the game are the characters, setting/world and the NPCs ever changed dialogs.

Warframe. Its probably the only online game that I can stand to play anymore. Fuck FFXIV. I'm not paying that much for a game.

Currently building Saryn Prime and Volt Prime.

Necrovision, Diablo 2 and Star Wars Jedi Academy. I have a shit toaster but I just realized that all the games I actually play doesn't need a good setup so I think I'll hold out on building a new pc until things change

Been playing Monaco.
It was on sale and it's pretty fun.

SWAT 4 but multiplayer servers won't work for me. It's a game that aged well though.

You know ehat might be fun?
Actual good games.

Nothing has really been holding my attention at all recently. I pirated Censored Blade X and used a trainer to give everyone max tits Because fuck Treehouse for removing the bust slider before getting bored pretty quickly when I found out that G-Buster makes any fight laughable. The constant jokes about that Jew Pon looking like food didn't help; wasn't funny the 1st time they did it and oh boy does it get grating when they do it in every fucking conversation with him in it.

But I have been having alot of fun with Time Splitters, Metal Slug and 7th Dragon III in short bursts.

I still have no idea what makes TimeSplitters so much fun to me. It's just a great FPS that I can sit down and play for hours.

I think its partly to do with the charm of the game, you can tell a lot of love when into making it from the cheesy story and characters to the little quirks the enemy soldiers do when they are unalerted. Still a blast to play through regardless even now, Notre Dame is still my favorite level.

I bought Doorkickers for three bucks and have been playing through that. It's pretty fun, but I wish there wasn't rng in the enemy placement, it makes trying to get the don't alter your plan medals more trial and error than they should be.

Spiritual successor to Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

I had my first playthrough on hard. The first half was quite challenging until I realized that I can parry nearly every attack. I had been too used to trying to avoid the hits instead.

I bought Lost Planet 2 on sale for me and a friend so that should be fun. Kind of reminds me of Monster Hunter.

I was playing stalker a little a while ago, and was considering making a mod for it but I decided I don't have the time anymore. I hardly get to play games anymore. I feel like I'm at the point in my life where what I do now will decide what my future is like. All I've been doing is building a website with an occasional dota 2 break.

While it's mobile cancer and all that shit, I've been playing a bit of Mighty Switch Force: Hose It Down for iOS. And it's mostly because I'm still saving up the funds to get a Windows license from Kinguin and get a good deal on a wireless controller, preferably a 360 or X1 controller.

I've been playing Monster Hunter 4U. Just got to Black Gravios. I think I've found my new least favourite monster.

Overbotch, though less and less since it's getting pretty dull without friends and wrapping up the true ending of Atelier Totori. I was really hoping the vita sale today would include Rorona or Ayesha, but it didn't so I guess I'll just wait until Sony's summer sales and kill myself if it's not there either because fuck me if I'm paying $40 each for ports that have been out for years now.

...

just play nip monhun? its mostly translated

I don't know anything about 3DS piracy, so that would be an ordeal
And I'd rather just play it once everyone has access to it and I can play with random faggots

Black Desert
It's surprisingly good considered how much it was shat on by anons.

what? have you not beaten it?
You have to date everyone to get the second best weapons. Also when I say everyone, I mean literally everyone

It was shat on because of how it was shilled relentlessly while it was still in development. I think it also had an absurdly high paywall to enter the english beta.

also lacks pretty much all player interaction and is basically a single player game until 45 where upon the only player interaction you have is other people ganking you with the slightly pay 2 win cash shop.
There's 0 player trading outside of a stupid auction house where Devs set the prices

What? You can interact with everybody perfectly fine.

So people won't ruin the economy like they do in other games.

Game's main problems are samey areas and shitty enemies, but what you're saying smells like autism. You can trade and interact with others perfectly fine.

no you can't trade with people.
all player to player trading is disabled, it has to go through that auction house

What is the difference?

One has actual active trading and forces player interaction. The other is set it and forget it and come back whenever to get your money.

How the fuck is that worse than keep screaming WTS or WTB in chat and then get you jewed over?
Niggers in warframe were asking for proper market for years, and now I see someone complaining that some other game actually has a proper market.

Human mind is truly a mystery.

this isn't a proper market in the slightest.
Devs set prices, you're not even allowed to undercut or have any say on what the item goes for.
The abomination of a Auction house they implemented is a glorified NPC shop. You either buy or sell the item at a set price by the devs, you in no way interact or can bargain or any nonsense like that, you pay exactly what the devs want you to.

That's a good thing if you ask me.

Because dealing with kids and neets causing inflation by grinding shit 20 hours a day is sure top fun right?

Except it removes what little player interaction is in that game.
There's the completely gear based PvP, and that's all thats left. The world bosses are farmed to shit by bigger guilds, the weekly scrolls you see a grand total of 2 other people for.

It's basically a single player game but with MMO combat. Not to mention the sheer amount of AFK grind they expect you to do for horses and other nonsense.

You contradict yourself. You want player interaction? Go and interact, what's preventing you? Make a guild, build up and go wreck other faggots, until someone come to wreck you, isn't that the whole point of MMO endgame content?
Or you only understand interaction as sitting for hours in trade chat and trying to sell your shit or buy something from grindan masters?

I've read some guides on horses and non-combat mechanics and still fail to grasp why do you even need to bother with them. Will it give you more money than killng mobs? Or it provides some unique gear? It looks like pure autism with no benefits to me. So now you have horse with high digits in its stats sheet. What does it give you?

High level horses move faster, carry more weight, have more HP.

Also
The fact that it's completely gearbased. Not even joking no matter how good you are, you're never going to be able to kill someone better geared than you. Or even 2 levels ahead of you. So unless you have time to grind out the "unlimited" levels, you have no chance at beating out the "grinding shit 20 hours a day" guilds.

getting real close to 100%ing this, just three more levels. I love this game and I'm glad I got it for free.

I'm really pissed off the controls aren't anywhere similar to Flashback or Prince of Persia but otherwise this game is pretty fun.

I like it so far. The whole truth's system is interesting

EDF EDF EDF

S'cool so far, I love vehicular combat games.

Low rate pepsiman clone that should have been on iOS instead. Whoever recommended me this should kill himself

Still the best.

Well duh, what did you want? Battlefield? Gearing is a pillar of the entire MMO genre.
Good thing that you can buy materials and even base gear at fixed prices, and not one bazillion a piece like hardcore players would set it at.

So how exactly does it prevent you from founding or joining a guild? Find like minded dudes, play with them, gear your shit up, make yourself into top guild or something. Or at least have fun trying to do so. Shit like warframe or vindictus is based around small parties so having big guild there means jackshit, but here you can physically lead an entire army, at least theoretically.
I dunno if it really happens or not, but if not, it's lazy and anti-social players' fault, not the game.

Got the boring ending to VA-11 HALL-A where you go to live with big tit hacker, gonna go back through and try to get other ones. It's a glorified visual novel but I'm really enjoying it. Very well polished and comfy.

It's actually the game's in this case, because there's free and open PvP and the massive difference gear makes. You cannot gear up without backing at the moment.
Especially because the difference between a Ring+0 and a Ring+1 is double effectiveness.
Well I guess you could just wait like a month until the game dies. Cash shop is more expensive than the F2P Korea version, ours has more benefits in the cash shop and it's buy to play.

In the end, i couldn't resist the urge.

finishing up sidequests in blood and wine, also playing Bendoverwatch on the side.
i know i'm a casual with shit taste but i'm having fun, sue me

vanilla warband.

just bought gothic on the summer sale and excited to play it for the first time

I've been playing Super Mystery Dungeon and been having genuine fun again after a period of boredom.
Why even bother with aura spheres if you can boost your FB's accuracy?

Monster hunter X and taiko no tasujin. I have more games but these two have pulled off an addiction combo and I go from one to the other every time I get sick of one.
Help me Holla Forums I see the moonrunes when I sleep but I don't know what they mean

...

tetris

I will.
Eventually.
Because I never did.
I tried Gothic 3 once, and it barely worked.
So yeah I never played any proper gothic in my life.

Oh I've also been playing Violated Heroine for shits n' giggles.
