The price drops on the GTX 900 series was great since I wanted to stay with Nvidia for the shadow play function. I was able to get a card that can do new games at ultra settings at 60, while also doing 120 with lower settings if I needed it.

It means that physical copies of 8th generation console games are the most worthless in the history of console games. They need installations, updates and most of the content is read from the HDD rather than the actual disc. As well as that, the game can be banned or restricted from certain machines/accounts that are on the grid.

Not that I expect them to do anything drastic on a global scale with that power but it harms the point of a console which is to have a little box that you can collect and use to the fullest, with games that fully function from disc till the day the nukes drop.

If your PS4 was on the grid there's a possibility there'll be a restriction somewhere at some point that will ruin this aspect and/or many of the games are not fully functional without updates.
