Go for the shop first. If you capture a monster with good charisma and negotiation you can stock it with whatever junk you find in the dungeons and watch the dosh roll in.
I have two vendors so I can keep the shop functioning while I bring the other one along and let it collect all the money I find to bring its potential up.

No. Ragnarok is specifically made as a fuck you to the player no matter who uses it.

There's ammunition that has the "can be loaded with explosive ammo" attribute. Find one and load it at the blacksmith's.

It has been updated for 1.58 but 1.59 is out now. Don't worry, they'll get around to it.

I think it's actually slower if you leave them there since there's a maximum number of offspring a ranch can hold.

Magic is a chore to build up though.

Potentially, the best pets are shitty low-level ones since they have low INI which makes AP grinding much easier. Fuse anything that gives your pets skills but be careful that you don't gene engineer more than 13 limbs as it reduces their speed. Personally I'd recommend training up the fire dragon child because it has 3 evolutions, and the Exile (pet reward from wizard god) who becomes very useful when you manage to get a .
Pets will fall off hard at later levels unless you bring up their Speed with AP and invest large amounts of gold.

For easy monster capturing/training I recommend joining Mages Guild when you have successfully read a spellbook of Dominate. It is extremely hard to read and you should wait until level 90+ Literacy with decent level knowledge spell.

Do not finish this quest until you manage to capture a silver cat by monster ball or dominate:

With high dominate and a monster heart your pets will easily become high level. Don't forget to train their AP to increase their speed.

It took a lot of setup to get that damage. Even if I manage to element scar one and manage to survive 10 turns without acting, I wouldn't do that much damage since they have obscene element resistance. Currently my element scar level might only bring it down to 0. You are right though, training it is a bitch.

It's also worth noting that inheriting a pet from a former save via Soul Spindle recalculates their INI to their new (penalized) stats.
While this means you don't get the advantages of having to old, likely-speedy pet, their INI is reduced dramatically and they keep whatever bit flags they had. So you could use this to raise Metal pets with reasonable INIs, though you'd need to work on their speed again.

Good to know, though it would probably kill my soul to start over and grind up everything again.

Do gods have any special attributes as pets other than high stats?

Their stats actually have a severe penalty if you recruit them. Never light-penned a god before so dunno if they retain unique abilities, though I only know of the Mewmewmew! one, which is not something you want anyway. Far as I know, god monsters have abilities like any other monster (breaths and stuff) and with the god recruiting penalty they might not be worth having as pets at all aside from aesthetics.

Interestingly, Anubis doesn't count as a god he's a dog.

Your class doesn't really have a big impact on gameplay, especially at later levels. The best starting classes are probably the ones that give skills that can only be learned from the Warrior, Thief, or Mage Guild. In the end, you'll have all the skills anyway and what you specialize in is what you dump your Platinum Coins on. If you dislike your class feat you can get an item that changes it later.

I started out with farmer because I wanted to do some tricky money making shit, but it took me quite a while to even get there. I'm making money now, yeah, but it was kind of tricky to get up to the point where I could actually do this.

Never really thought of it like that, honestly. Now I'm really just running around with a scimitar and a shield instead of a scythe because honestly short swords are cooler, in my opinion.

Oh also, unrelated, but I found a scroll of ally in a dungeon and I read it and it gave me a skeleton warrior. I have a rad skeleton bro to adventure with now and it's the raddest shit; he's actually the strongest companion I've had and he has a lot of equipment slots, too.

I love this game, but I keep getting my ass handed to me as a gunslinger and I'm not sure how to progress. I can't get enough money to buy better weapons/armor than I already have, and my partners die too fast or can't protect me from some magic/ranged schmuck that can 2-shot me. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

What level are you?

What gun type are you using? Each has a specific range they're effective at. I recommend you use machine guns until you find something OP since they have a reliable roll and are effective in lots of ranges.

It's actually been a while since I played. I'm going to guess I was around level 11 or so? I was clearing out level 1 and 2 dungeons without many issues, but whenever any type of mage or archer showed up I was usually fucked.

Capture a bell. If you already have one, capture another bell.

You'll have trouble with magic until you get some elemental resistance from gear, so just bear with it/try finding elemental resist gear, carrying around some light gear that comes with a notable ammount of resistance can be useful when you find an enemy with that element.
Also what's your current speed? If it's too low you should look into using mounts to reduce enemy turns.

Doing escort quests and the "my relative is sick" or something is a good way to get gp/pp in the beginning. Don't do the girlfriend escort though. Buy better equipment and pump your plat into relevant skills that help you kill better.
Wish for seven league boots if you can't finish those quests on time.

No but you can make a shop that sells food or whatever you want. You can have a farm and ranch but the bulk of the game is dungeon crawling.

At present, no. Interaction with NPCs that aren't in your crew is limited.
You can set up a store that sells specific goods, like food, but sales are handled by one of your pets and happen "offscreen," so to speak.

It is possible to buddy up with other adventurers for fighting, though, and their friendship with you can change as a result.

Tavern simulator seems like an overlooked niche genre.

There's a lot more bullshit fun to have. The early game is rough but the progress feels very satisfying. Don't go in over your head and try and get yourself competent with fighting so you can survive easier in the wilds. Try and find a good way to make money, too.

Also I forgot to add that I believe there's a mod that lets you play as a shitton more races. I think it was either custom or plus, and you can play as a skeleton in it if you want. "Bone Hero" will be all much more fitting of a name.

I go by "Maximum Pimp". My old save went by "Completely Fresh" but I was a faggot newbie and decided to start over. Doesn't bother me much though. Things are going great so far.

Not sure if its a mod but im sure there is a line you can edit for that in the settings ini or somewhere around there. Its just disabled by default. Mostly because those other races/classes are for monsters so they are not balanced at all for players, so you can end up being super OP or weaker than a snail.

It has been a while since i last built a home but i think that when you upgrade it by buying a better deed, the old house dissappears and all the things inside of it appear in the newest home.

Port Kurualm looks like a modern dock with warehouses and shit.
Melugas is alright. Has a moat.
Arcbelc is like a mix between Lumiest and Port Kapul
Valm has a beach and brick buildings.
Ruoza and Ludus looks like shit.

Yo guys I changed the config file to allow me to play as any race, and I chose a slime so I could be a putit. How do I change my sprite to the putits sprite for maximum putit immersion?

Change all the body and clothing option to 0 (make it disappear) and change your body type, Here's a putit sprite, Change the filetype to .bmp and change the number accordingly

There's an Elonaplus exe and an Elona exe. Run the default Elona one that comes with custom to boot up custom, and run the Elonaplus exe to run Elonaplus

Well, as far as finding any custom home maps… you can download user made maps to have them appear in your game's showroom by just visiting rooms listed in moongates, and copying and renaming the temp pum and eum (for Elonaplus the eum extention should be changed to pum) files of those rooms stored in your games user folder.

You can't actually use them in place of own home, but in case you end up finding maps that best match up to your ideals, they can serve as a bases of inspiration to help you design and furnish your house.

At least I know that helped me a lot when it came to designing, but finding furniture is
truly the worst part.

Sorry, I can't say I know for sure. I use mainly the kawaii uguu~ sheet with edgy sprites replacing some.

I did notice that some of the sprite sheets are outdated, displaying placeholders where new characters would be in a current vanilla sheet. For what it's worth, I would say that it'd work, just that you'd be missing sprites.

Perhaps you could edit in the missing ones–which isn't really all that hard, as long as you mind the spaces in which each sprite is meant to be. That's probably what I did for my sheet months ago.

I've come to the point where I can earn enough money to come by with quests and can do the puppy cave thing relatively unscathed. I placed elona custom files in the elona plus folder, but whenever I finish making a character, it freezes with an error. I'm launching the game from the elona custom exe and this is a fresh install of elona plus. Anyone got any clues on how to fix this?

The wizard of Elea. Their nerve bolt hurts like hell early on and even though they become useless by the end of Act 1, you can evolve them and give them a new spell that fucks shit up pretty well.

Buy a museum and fill it with Gwen the Innocent cards and figurines. You can also use Party Time quests as a way to get Mia the Cat Freak cards and figurines. Boost your museum rank enough and it'll easily pay for itself. Then you might want to open a shop or other facility.
It's also a good idea to learn as many skills as possible, so keep collecting platinum.

Every duplicate you have has half the effect, so if you had 3 putit cards, the first would have full effect on your rank, the second would have half and the last would have a quarter
