That's a significant problem and I don't want to explain it away, nor do I want to pretend that I'm an expert on logistics, but consider the following factors:
1. SA is close to being a failed state. It's not as if the government will be able to effectively employ the army in the event of a civil war.
2. The army's operation depends on infrastructure maintained by Whites. Without gas, maintenance crews, and ammo shipments, the tanks and machine guns won't do much good.

Speaking of SA, I'm wondering if anyone is knowledgeable on its history. Specifically, I'd like to know what the demographics of south africa were like at the onset of dutch colonization.
