Hyper Light Drifter - Is this the only kickstarter game that delivered?

...

what is insert shit indie game?

Shovel Knight is the only KS game I can think of that delivered.
There's a Shantae games on KS that might deliver.

It would appear KS for platformers are doable, but the competence behind them is a gamble like everything.

FTL

Mighty Number 9 is definitely the best one.

hyper light drifter was awful.

Freedom Planet, Shovel Knight, HLD. And that's about it.

Shovel Knight was alright.
FTL was okay, too.

Depends on your definition of delivered. HLD has some things going for it, but 30fps in an action game that's running pixel graphics is pretty terrible.

...

No, there are plenty of other kickstarters that delivered a steaming pile of shit.

Star Citizen

Hyper light drifter was awful.

Shovel knight and FTL are both great games.

...

Strike Suit Zero
Risk of Rain

Pinball Arcade has done at least 4 kickstarters to obtain funds for licensed tables, like Twilight Zone, Star Trek TNG, Terminator 2, Addams Family.

Not only delivered, but was longer than originally intended.

...

You faggots are leaving out something

I'm forgetting what other early access games delivered.

HLD, FTL, Undertale and Shovel Knight were good.

Shantae: HGH looks like it will be good.

Didn't darkest dungeon?

I just hope that this one doesn't flop.

Risk of Rain, hands down.

Only asked for money once the base game was mostly complete, mainly to recoup costs, buy a legit copy of Game Maker, and to pay someone to make music. Extra money went towards stretch goals which drastically expanded the replayability of the game, and I believe Mac/Linux versions. It's basically the model for how Kickstarter should be used.

distance is fucking great

yooka layle might and underworld probably will and i think shroud of the avatar did.

...

Holy shit. I'm hyped.

Nigga u better be jestin.
Otherwise yeah, those games were good.

OP has no idea what he's talking about.

7 Days to Die
Darkest Dungeon
Magicite
The Long Dark

Carmageddon: Reincarnation.
At least most of it. Still no DRM-free version.

There's always a DRM free version, some developers just don't give you the option to buy it.

Xenonauts

there are very few kickstarter sucess stories, but they're there. I wish they'd do their own crowd funding sites and dodge the jew tax, not like KS affords any protections or benifits.

Pillars of Eternity, right guys?

I 'll summon some autistm with this but
Skullgirls
Delivered into what promised and then some more.No regrets.

This is going to be an even longer summer than normal…

Is it actually good?

I finished last month, it was pretty ok.

It's an amazing game. Sequel is getting kickstarted to.

we need to make a chart

...

...

There's actually a lot of bugs in HLD.

It's good, but I wouldn't say it's a success story of Kisckstarter.

Wasteland 2
