Shapiro does this sort of equivocating a lot where he switches from the large aggregative scale to normative claims about the micro scale. This sloppy shit reasoning is why I stopped reading him. That, and he can't argue normatively for shit (notice there is no backing up of action-guiding claims beyond emotive buzzwords). I couldn't be bothered critiquing his three main reasons, as the guy isn't worth the time anymore.

I went through all the 20+ minute videos and didnt see for absolute certain the one I think it was, but I think this is the same one with a different title/poster. I tried skimming it for a while, but couldnt find the point where he says it (if its the right one). I wouldnt bother looking unless you really want to hold that against him and spread it around with the source. He said that when he was in university, he wrote all his papers from a communist perspective because thats what the teachers wanted, but that also means hes.. experienced in lying about his political views and feeding people what they want to hear.
