Counter-producing content is an issue because of this. I don't see much need for it. Youtube's userbase as a whole is some of the most sympathetic to our cause (relative to the rest of the internet outside of Holla Forums and stormfront). What you are seeing here is just a really large enclave: normies will watch the shit they already agree with. Nobody has ever been swayed by the likes of John Oliver or Black John Stewart, nor will they have a hard time finding them if they stop trending. They just spout inane crap to hypnotize their viewers into thinking they're receiving all the information they will ever need to receive on the subject. And they have a loyal viewer base that will always keep coming back for more.
Trying to take hegemonic control over youtube is futile and unnecessary. Choose your battles wisely.
