It didn't matter what the game was. Whether they liked it or hated it, they would always drop it within a small time span and either go back to a mindless multiplayer game - like WoW, Diablo 3, LoL, DOTA 2 whatever the fuck - or they would jump on the next "latest and greatest multiplayer game of the year" and repeat the cycle again. The genre that's the biggest culprit of this is FPS, but it doesn't matter what it is if it's hyped up enough. They will also buy it at full price and not think twice of paying for microtransactions (Hearthstone being one example).

The worst part is that they NEVER. FUCKING. LEARN from their mistakes. If it turns out that the game is shit (which it normally is), they get pissed, but will always end up doing the same shit of buying the next hyped up garbage over and over again because "Oh it's hyped up and has all of this awesome stuff in it. I gotta have it so I'm not considered a casual and can show that I'm a hardcore gamer" Even though they're the very thing they don't want to be. The other excuse they use, which makes them seem more like they're being in denial, is that the game is "more fun playing with friends" when the game should be fun both solo and with friends, not one of the other.

Doesn't fucking help that wherever you go outside of here (though to some extent we are guilty of this at times as well), any criticism or negativity for a hyped up game is either silenced, censored, or have drones defending said game to try and prove the naysayers wrong, ensuring that the game gets it's sales, and the players get jackshit for the money they spent.

This is one of the major factors killing games today. It has to be stopped, but that would require more people to stop supporting this bullshit, which is showing small signs of happening, but is still not enough to make a dent yet.

OK then, but what makes Reinhardt's charge dominant? It can kill a squishy character, or knock someone off the map, but it also exposes him to damage and he's a big fat slow fuck. You could argue that Reinhardt himself is dominant, but that's more to do with the utility his Barrier provides in comparison to other tanks. I won't disagree with a general lack of verticality, but that's more to do with the nature of the objective types (KOTH and escorting payload). It's not like there's a complete lack of verticality either, since several characters (Junkrat, Pharah, Widowmaker, Genji, Hanzo, Winston and d.va although their weapons don't suit it) have something that allows them to get to high places, or even just use vertical elements to their advantage and get the drop on enemies (probably the most useful thing about Winston's jump ability). Off the top of my head, I know Dorado is filled with ways to get above and behind the enemy, and Temple of Anubis can be HELL when people focus on getting up high at certain spots.

It's not that WOW OVERWATCH IS THE BEST VIDYA or anything. There's plenty of things to shit on it for. Schizophrenic art design, complete inability for any one player to make a difference in as match if their team isn't so great (compare it to the damage a good player could do in say, BF1942, which is still objective based, and beyond that any TDM based shooter), the fact that it hogs the goddamn CPU for no reason.
