Sometimes if you want to reamain consistent with the story of Link, Zelda and Ganon but gender swap you have to get creative. Imagine a time the triforce pieces split into two pieces each, dividing the main characters into two entities when they are reborn. They are also the missing piece of personality from one another so you could have Link as someone who's stern while Linkle is bubbly. Zelda is wise but too cautious and Zeldon is wise but too impatient. Having the work together could be an interesting dynamic as you could view them as the missing "link" to one another.

You can view this as pandering to SJW but personally bringing a fresh idea like this I wouldn't mind seeing as it's interesting.

Except i isnt. People hated watch dogs when it came out but loved it on reveal. It was later when it downgraded and played like generic open world game #65, that people starting turning on it. But on reveal people were super hyped for it.
