In the past few years, the ADL has shifted the focus of its anti-bias and diversity programs to early childhood, said Marcie Shaughnessy, project director for the ADL's A World of Difference Institute in Palm Beach County.

"We've found that if we want to stop hatred in the world, we really need to start at a young age," Shaughnessy said. "The whole concept is trying to teach acceptance and respect, really before children form their opinions at such a young age."

The book has been distributed in Miami-Dade County for about a year. In Belle Glade, where about 53 percent of the residents are functionally illiterate, officials in the Palm Beach County Glades' branch are using the book as part of their literacy efforts. "

And just adding on, this board generally talk about controlled breeding, but even then, it's usually based off of things like eye or hair color, which does give you a good idea, but it's still not very precise.
