Was it really? I haven't played it, but from what people have written about it, it seems like they took away a lot of the things that made KF1 fun. Mainly fucking up the spawns by having zeds teleport so that kiting no longer is a thing, and everybody are squashed into one area of the map for the full duration of the game vs the natural migration that took place in KF1 where you would change spots as the waves progressed.

Also seems like they fucked up what made the classes play differently and encouraged playing different roles to strengthen the team.

I got about 100 hours out of it, and how promising it seemed hyped me up. I stopped playing a little over a year ago because the flow of content was so fucking slow, and they cared so little about their community that it was like they abandoned it.

Game died before it even got out of early access.

Anyways to not slide too far off topic, I was gifted the game thankfully but I definitely noticed the change in enemies and how they take so much more to kill, it's why I jumped ship to Gunslinger and just focusing on headshots, but I definitely notice how some big ticket enemies are taking a lot more to put down at this point.
On top of this I hate how they're not even making maps anymore, they just fucking upload community made ones and call it a day. If I wanted to do that I'd just ask my friend to host his server and link him the one in question.
At this point with how little work they seem to be doing on the game I have to wonder if they made back their investment considering the micro transaction angle they already pushed in, or if they're just trying to squeeze out what they can from this dying playerbase.

I bought KF2 a year ago when it was released for $30. It was a very direct upgrade from KF1. The game is fun. The game design is solid as hell and they do slowly improve it. Even if they take fucking years to push out new content, the content they put out is really good.

But god fucking dam do they keep taking their sweet sweet time and instead make SJW characters and that stupid Oculus VR KF spinoff game.

My only concern with early release shit is that it burns out the really active part of the fanbase early and leaves the game with hardly anyone playing when, if ever, they release it.

During the KF1 era they were the most based developer around. Threw out map packs left and right, for free, kept the game running great and the only DLC was cosmetic additions: player characters for cheap which did not give unfair advantages or cause pay to win microtransaction hell.

That's why the game was so successful.

How in the FUCK the managed to FUCK THIS SHIT UP SO MUCH is incomprehensible. This has to be a deliberate attempt to run the whole thing into the ground. I refuse that the original team can go into self-destruction mode like this unless they have been replaced or someone is actually paying them money to destroy themselves, because the transformation from based to bitch is just too much to believe.

Luckily I didn't buy KF2. I nearly shit my pants when it was announced, but that excitement quickly faded as they started showing signs of bullshit SJW behavior.

They have, but KF2 sucking ass isn't exactly new. The terrible character design is new, and that's a valid reason to talk about a game.

I know this is not relevant to the thread but I just had the realization of how deep our culture is with all of the different streams of funposting and quality, but I also realized how incompatible with the rest of the internet we are. You could show that quoted text to a hundred people on the street, with context, and all 100 of them wouldn't be able to decipher it.

TL;DR, I laughed profusely at some thing not all that uncommon, reflected on chan culture and our lingo and jokes and realized I love you guys and I dont know what I would do with out you all.

KF2 is a really good game at the base of it, the guns shoot better than 99% of shooters which is what matters in a shooter. The problem is the company running it is actually trying to shit on what makes it a good game, latest update was proof of this.
No one could actually play this and go, yeah we improved the game, not destroyed the core aspect of shooting things with guns and having it feel good.
