Sonic

Sonic

Freedom Planet

This is some kind of shilling isn't it.

Oh and one more thing:

Sonic - enemies just need to touch you once in order to steal all your hard-earned rings away, or drop a coconut on your head.

Freedom Planet - you can touch the enemies and even damage them like that, the enemies can't deal damage unless their attack hits you. Also when you get hit you don't lose all your crystals, you simply lose half a health petal which can be easily replenished.

Faggot shill who can't play videogames, news at eleven.

That's kind of the point.

When will this meme end?

Have you ever actually played a 2D Sonic game? The only game you're supposed to go fast in is Sonic CD, because the time travel mechanic required it. Past that, the only reason you would ever go fast is either because you're a scrub who honestly believed the marketing hype, or because you're on Chemical Plant Zone.

Sounds like someone needs to git gud

i wanna fuck that dragon

SNES scrub detected.

Tell me, nigga, how fast can you beat Hill Top Zone? Or Flying Battery? I'm genuinely curious because unless I'm doing something majorly fucking wrong going fast is a fucking detriment to the actual gameplay.

It is and it should be in a game about being fast. Although after playing all sonic games in a row, I can safely say that's a fucking lie from the beginning.

Wait are you fucking serious? You're triggered that you had to slow down for the part where you jump between things over a fall to your death?

Sanic is fast but has brakes for a reason. Or did you crawl through the inside portions of Flying Battery too in terror?

There's a dragon?

Sonic's an arcade style platformer.
The first level is a breeze, but you can explore and farm lives.
the next levels challenge you a little, but the bunishment is usually taking a lower path.
Then you get the reward level for people who don't want to spend time playing the whole game but still want to feel accomplished.
Then game ramps up the death traps and mazes till the boss.

You have to play the first levels each time you restart, but it gives you an incentive to search for the fastest route and practice it so you can breeze through faster, and/or search for secret lives and powerups to give you a better chance in the long run.

obviously

that purple character is supposed to be a dragon

I'd say your problem is you're treating the game like mario.

Looks like a fucking goat.

Where's the porn

I want to fuck the cat, if it is a cat.

I got Flying Battery and Wing Fortress confused

Reminder that "dragon", the green cat, and the rabbit are OC DONUT STEELS of team rose from sonic heroes(though they slimmed the fuck out of big.)

...

shes definitely built for fucking

Sonic

Go home Egoraptor.

Freedom Planet

Both hilltop and Winged fortress are meant to be life eaters.
Especially that part where you have to jump from gun turret to gun turret and it's so damn tempting to try and spindash accross as fast as possible.

Shill for free autismos thread.
Check em

Also shill for SNES fanboys.

Can't say i ever really had any trouble with hilltop, fucking oil ocean on the other hand used to kick my ass.

The problem is you suck at video games. Sonic is the greatest platformer ever, and you are shit at it because you suck.

/thread

Go play as tails you faggot casual or git gud

Knuckles or Kill Yourself.

Hilltop, I was easy to get careless with.
I mostly died a lot at mystic cave zone till I got familiar with the traps.

Clockwork tower, though. That shit just exhausted me by the end. Then it would be late at night, and even if I had more than enough lives to try and beat the game, it was a struggle just to focus.

I don't know, the early levels are boring on Knuckles' path.
Also with a little effort you can get most of the places Tails can get with Knuckles, unless it requires you to jump more than 1 mm higher than the place you start from :^)

Kill yourself OP

screw the first levels entirely, Just play pure SnK

Enjoy not getting crazy text on your lives counter because you never break 100, pleb.

...

i compare it to my shit because that's what it is

are you figuratively kidding me?

...

How we say, those sonic fans joined the fandom after the release of Sonic Adventures 2 on the gamecube.

Yes derp we are kidding.

...

It's really the opposite. Sonic CD wasn't conducive to going fast because every level was a maze. Then if you went past a time travel pole when you didn't want to, you have to sit and wait for it to expire.

It's supposed to test your ability to go fast. Hence why there are alternate paths that are harder to reach unless you've gotten good at going fast. Simply being able to go fast instantly means you no longer have to worry about losing momentum. People will say the spin dash did the same thing, but it provided riskier way to go fast since it propelled you faster than your normal top speed, often sending you into death if you weren't prepared..

You just run and jump into them - rarely do you ever have to go out of your way to get rings. Collecting them is also a test of how efficiently you can travel while going fast. Since you only need 1 ring to take a hit, you can still continue going fast by just picking up one of the rings you dropped. By having an extra resource like health, you're reliant on collecting it to keep going fast.

You just need to git gud at going fast. The later levels are meant to be harder to complete while going fast.

I feel like what could improve Sonic is if you add some of the Mario 64ish movements to his moves. Like if you want to stop, you can do a cartwheel jump like when you instantly jump in the opposite direction while running.

Also can we get some more Freedom Planet/Sonic crossover?

Do the fans ship them?

I fucking hated Sonic. You needed to have areas memorized before you could go fast, but going slow to learn them wasn't enjoyable at all.

Most games try to make the learning experience enjoyable, but Sonic mechanics are shit if you're going slow, which is necessary to begin.

I hate sonic because Sega would much rather make shitty sonic games for autists than take a look at any of their other IPs and make something people actually would like to play

autismos have the dollaros
if that werent the case furry art comissions wouldnt be a job

...

I hate the Archie comics before the reboot. The series intrigued me because I'm an animationfag that loves inkblot designs. But nope the comics had to turn what's too cartoonish to be furry into an autism magnet.
