*Also, what bugs me a bit is in Warband, the helmets tended to be around that period of the Medieval Ages, with the Sea Raider equipment being fairly old. Then with the new game, it takes place 200 years before, and we're seeing shit from the Late Medieval Period. The Roman stuff makes sense (that Celtic faction), but not for ~1000, since it's too big of a stretch. I dunno, just nick-picking. Honestly, I don't really care too much, it's just that the armor reflects the weapons of the time, and blunt-swords for swinging look weird with armor for rapiers.
But I like the map a hell of a lot better. Looks tons more realistic.

Depends on what you're looking for.

Floris is a "vanilla+" mod, but just go with the extended troop trees, not the full trees. It sometimes gets some hate for being bloated to hell, and it is, but it's still a decent mod.

Gekokujo is a feudal Japan mod. I liked it quite a bit, but it's a little bit easy. It's nicely done and well polished in comparison to a lot of mods.

Prophesy of Pendor is a sort of low-fantasy mod designed to be more challenging for people who know what they're doing. It's interesting, but it does get pretty over-the-top with some of the armies and troop stats.

Warsword Conquest just released a couple of weeks ago. It's a high fantasy mod based off the warhammer universe. It's still needs some work so expect some bugs but they're working on it. My own grievance with it is that the map is so huge and there's so much shit going on all the time that the game shits itself if you try to use the speed-up function. It's also pretty easy since they weren't really after balance.

L'Aigle is also in development, but less active than Warsword Conquest. It's a Napoleonic era mod and pretty well done, if a bit barebones when I last played a number of months ago.

Anno Domini is one I see around here a lot but I haven't tried it myself so I can't say much about it. It might be worth looking into though if you're into a more real-world medieval setting.

And there's Phantasy Calradia if you want a broken buggy mod that adds D&D to M&B.

Because one of the more frustrating aspects of M&B is how clunky ordering your troops is. There is no reason they can't ape Total War in this aspect.

Viking Conquest was just a copy of the Brytenwalda mod, made by the mod makers(?) and sold off as DLC. It was riddled with bugs on launch and was completely non-functional for a long time. Nothing is wrong with it per se, but you're not getting much more out of the paid version and it still has a reputation for being a mess even if it's been fixed.

It was an obviously unfinished DLC put up for sale last year.
Seeing the backlash they got for releasing it, they quickly put it up on Early Access until around February where it got fixed in every way and with extra content as well,
Also let's not forget that Brytenwalda modders work on this

Yeah, the gameplay is pretty chaotic. And biggest MP autists prefer to roleplay in formation, which isn't exactly e-sports compatible.

The guy job is to keep the game community informed about M&B and taleworlds related stuff, the only he talked about is about M&BW tournaments and support on E-sports in Bannerlord.

4 years passed without any Bannerlord news, the only thing he talked about is how MP is the only thing that brings new players to Warband.

I don't mind if people play MB competitively and its fine if they add some framework for it. I just don't want the structure of multi-player being changed just for competitive.

To be fair the Wall was never meant to stop an invasion, it was a forewarning system to detect incursions from nomadic steppe tribes.

Because that's at a close distance, he straight up sharpened the arrows as he himself admits, and he's probably using a steel of quality that didn't exist during the times, finally the gambeson underneath is apparently of lower quality then other types he's come across. The way the chainmail+gambeson combo works is the arrow penetrates the chainmail but gets blunted and the tip destroyed then gets stuck in the gambeson.

before you participate in one, save then after that bet all the denar you got on your ass and win the tourney

Also what weapons that you will get is completely randomized but within that factions weapon pool (example: in swadian towns you can get the godawful lance, and in sarranid towns you can get 50xjavelins, but you can only get them in the respective faction that has it)

When you win you get loads a denars and fucking renown, btw don't forget to drop by the castle and dedicate your win to a lady

Bards in taverns can tell you when will tournament start and where they will take place

Now gid gut and don't come back until you raze Swadia to the ground
