After graduating, they promoted me to merchandiser. Three years later, I was assistant manager and working 50-60hrs a week. I never had debt, never needed a loan, never needed handouts.

Then when you're promoted a year or two into your job there at wal-mart/target/kohls/whatever, you'll be able to work as much as you want, make as much as you want, and combine that with prudent saving and budgeting and an appreciation for simple cars, simple food and a simple life, and you'll live comfortably and debt free. Period.
