4. Even if Syrian forces are grounded they still have Russian air support. Essentially nothing has changed strategically speaking.

5. The momentary salt of some of his supporters will fade as the hysteria dies down when it's seen as it is - truly nothing of significance. He gets to keep them too.

Firing that many missiles was definitely a probe into their defenses and one of my first thoughts was they were also getting rid of old stock so firing that many would be useful for posturing. Either there were a lot of deliberate misses, other targets were hit or missiles were shot down (which Russia denies). If S300/400s were active radar the missiles would've hit them I'd think.
