I live in a residence chock-full of 'intellectual' liberals and am seeing their reactions first-hand. I had a walk around the place over dinner and listened in to their conversations for a bit, and I'm not seeing not even a hint of 'muh Assad, muh Russians' but plenty of 'h-haha, Trump is firing missiles now, he's going to start ww3 we're all going to die' punctuated with nervous laughter. I walked out into the common room, and saw the TV surrounded by a silent group of leftists (locked on CNN as always) broadcasting videos of the missile launches on repeat, their orange trails drawing streaks across the pitch-black sky while the brain-dead pundit in the corner of the screen talks about possible international law violations.
To recap, the situation on the ground right now is that the right is freaking because Trump is firing missiles into Syria, and the left is freaking because Trump is firing missiles into Syria. Nobody is on board with this. For the left, they'd been sweeping this under the rug and not thinking too hard about it. Even if Cunton had gone into Syria they wouldn't have batted an eye. But it's different for the left if Trump does it. It helps that they received no warning or preperation beforehand, nobody expected Trump to actually do it (especially after his statements about leaving Assad alone), today he made the war and associated issues real in the minds of the general public. I don't think they'd have done the hoax if they'd known Trump would abruptly reverse direction like that. The left is now stuck in the position of carefully considering what it really means for them to be demanding action by Trump, since they've just twigged that means giving him authorization to fire missiles wherever he feels like and their brainwashing is kicking in and telling them that's dangerous and to slam on the brakes. The left is scared, and their programming that tells them to oppose everything Trump does is going to bite the kikes in the ass.
It's 1488D chess again, I expect this is how Trump is going to force the establishment to either give up their anti-Trump propaganda or their war in Syria, or likely both. He's wrecked their narrative, for the sake of some asphalt in Syria.
