It really depends on the side of the store you work at. If you're o the grocery side - the side that makes the most money - then you'll have more pressure on you to get your shit done. That being said I fell into the routine after about 3 weeks. If you have a good work ethic and a fair amount of patience, you can work grocery no problem.
If you're on the GM side, it might as well be free money.
That's how a supercenter works overnight anyway. I have no idea how a neighborhood market or regular store operates.

Man, same here. The guy I work with is reliable in that he'll definitely show up for work, but he works incredibly slow and can't work & talk at the same time. He's shit at multitasking, and he LOVES to talk to coworkers. So more often than not, it falls upon me to get the bulk of the work done since he's so incompetent that he can't work on his own. Mind you, he's been here a month longer than I have.
They can't fire him though, because we're on a freeze and he always shows up. He doesn't pull his weight, but he does show up, and considering overnighter's biggest detriment is attendance, that's all he needs to stick around.

Case & point, FFX, I played the shit out of Mario Sunshine, and Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald has hundreds of hours of my life ensnared.
I might get a FFX tattoo soon. I have the design picked out and figured it was innocuous enough to no immediately get recognized as a game tattoo like a triforce or something.

I'm naively optimistic about both games since I've invested so much time in the series as a whole but that's my bias I guess.

Lots of people ignore the first one for some reason. It's a little more complicated at the start, but there are no rpg elements in the game. I think it's still very good, and the enhanced version fixed portable's resolution issues.

Honestly, Auron is a pretty archetypal "badass older guy" type of character. They didn't break new grounds with him, he was a badass teacher type of guy with a troubled past. Pretty normal, especially for an RPG.

The Yevon symbol. I wrestled between that and the Zanarkand Abes sigil, but I liked the design on Yevon's sign more.

Even if it's just a re-invented wheel, I wouldn't really be able to complain that much since it's just more of the same thing. I guess that's just me being optimistic though. Very few games can replicate the feeling that I get when playing a Souls game, so I'm always starved for more.

I found a couple of setting in ZeroGS that were specific for MGS3 so I tried ticking them on and it got worse. Notice the framerate tanked even harder.

I'll try running PCSX2 through Win7 next I suppose. I doubt I'll get any different result.

I loved Bowser's Inside Story and played a fair amount of Partners In Time but I haven't gotten around to playing any of the others yet.

Its not so much more of the same thing though. The removal of poise led to the game being way more like Bloodborne or apparently DeS, which I cant comment on as I never played. Like you can wear full knights gear or havels and a dagger makes you flinch in a hit.

And enemies get hyper armor when they get smacked a few times, so it leaves everything but rapiers, straightswords, some spears and shit like that most viable, making greatswords useless and a lot of smaller fast weapons unviable. On top of that the 8 yard range for magic compared to the over double range for spells in 1 and 2 makes spellcasting very unviable.

And they ruined shields by making them easily breakable to a ridiculous degree. Its just not like 1 or 2. Game feels like Bloodborne not DS.

Just uh, remember to switch the graphics type you were using back.

I actually had a hard time getting into the other Mario & Luigi games because I never thought they lived up to the first. I loved it when I played it. Legend of the Seven Stars is still my favorite Mario rpg. Still has stuff liked timed hits, but plays out more like a traditional Square jrpg.

Switched back to Gsdx and changed a few things. Managed to stop the fucking corrupted textures from popping up but the frame rate's still the same. I think I'll just try live with it or cap the framerate so it's at least consistent.

Certainly sounds like a trial, but I really do love the series - and the feeling during combat specifically - so I'm sure I'll log countless hours into it despite the bullshit. Demon's is the perfect example of that; I absolutely hated Demon's at first since Dark 1 spoiled me, but I still put hundreds of hours into it because the combat was ludicrously satisfying and combo-chains were fun as hell. I play a lot of fighting games, so I treated it like them in terms of mind games - at least for PvP - so it got way more fun in a meta sort of way. I still don't really care for Demon's, but I'm replaying it right now. That should tell you how much I love the series.

If you end up liking it definitely a plus in my books, I wish I were in your shoes in that case.
