fags

You like introducing yourself and opening up to fags user? Or do you just like the openings on a fag?

in the age of ancients…

It feels as though game devs have alot less freedom nowadays.

Need For Speed has some pretty dope openings. Used to live for that shit growing up. Wonder if any of the newer games even compare to the ones of old.

And my personal favorite:

Time for Wild Arms.

Transcending history and the world, a tale of souls and swords, eternally retold…

My first step into the Warhammer World was a doozy.

WE ALL NEED TO SHINE ON, AND SEE

My battle-brother. I took a step. Then a thousand more. And never turned back.

...

can't beat that, honestly
have an intro anyways though

Goddamnit, how I regret trading this one away.

It's a wild ride.

Don't think I don't notice you made this thread yesterday, you little shit.

The song itself is already a classic

GT4 second best
GT2 PAL third best

Way above any other racing game

...

Such immersion, wow, i crai evritaim 5/5

Came to post this, but you beat me.

DS intro and cutscenes that used both screens either took into account the space between the screens, or completely ignored it and made everything look silly.

...

Obligatory

MGSV opening. That "Outer Heaven" text, the music… Started off fresh.

I SAY THEE NAY!

...

MGSV should have been good.

...

funny many of those tracks in gt psp aren't even in the game..

GT2 US is the best intro hands down

...

ridge racer intros puts most intros to shame

RRT4 is the best close second is RRPSP intro

thinking about it games don't even have intros anymore.

Also this

...

Fags, must I do everything myself?

(((sigh)))

durr durr durr

Definitely this.

Apart from the sort of highway bit at the start, all the tracks I can spot are in the game.

...

f2p shit's getting pretty intricate these days

nigger that's not even an intro. UT at least had a voiceover.

Whenever I boot up Solotarobo: Red the Hunter I feel compelled to watch the opening leading to the title screen (whichever one, posting the first). More enjoyable than the actual game really.

probably not as well remembered as empire earth

...

Oh wow, I completely forgot about Wild Arms

That reminds me of this game.

I always liked the part where the Nazis won.

...

TEN CENTURIES SHALL THE FORTRESS STAND

...

hold on now this doesn't seem like how i remember it-

I AM THE REINFORCEMENTS

Anyone have good title crash sequences they know of?
Where the title title comes in from the foreground and crashes/flashes when it sets in place.
I need references. Please.

...

Not sure what you mean. Do you mean like stuff in the first Overlord? In it the minions run around tryong to arrange the letters.

Anyone feel blue balled by this?

...

...

...

Like the Soul Blazer title screen but faster and with a flash/crash.
I have no idea what you'd call it.

Like this, where the title itself comes from behind view.

...

...

Oh man, watching these intros just makes me sad.

These games had heart in them, and looking at the games now, they all feel soulless and simply made to make money

...

...

...

who here remembers this?

...

Came here to post that one, truly one of the best intros of all time in vidya, it perfectly sets up the game that's to follow

...

This one has a bit of historical significance because there was nothing like it at the time. FPS were all rat mazes, pretty much. Unreal could do huge open environments in a way other games just couldn't do, and rubbed that in your face as soon as you ran it.

My nigger. Underrated game in general.

The L4D1 intro is good not only on its own as a video but as a tutorial. It teaches you about Smokers, Hunters, Tanks, Alarm Cars and Witches. Much better than that of the second game.

It's not that underrated though. It really, really, really pained me that there was no skirmish and the campaign was linear as fuck.

I still enjoyed the shit out of it for whatever reason.

Possibly sheer desperation for Warhammer Fantasy games.

Plebs, the lot of you.

This one is really great too though.

Still my best 1998

RIP Monolith

...

That's it.

same here

Admittedly the Medieval 2 mods have them (or planned to last time I checked).

That's my fucking jam right there.

My most recent favorite one

Best way to canonically explain mmo servers

METAL ARMS COMING IN

Behold, the light of the world

The fact that MGSV was released unfinished kills me inside. It had such potential.

MY NIGGA

No one would know this game anyway, but I will still post it.

You guys are all out of your league. Posting some actual content.

Its been in my backlog for a while, I need to get into it. Don't know what build I should do.

Sorry, here's one you can actually see.

Not particularly fancy or amazing but i always liked it.

This has to be my favorite intro of all time. No game has ever come close to capturing the same feeling and atmosphere that the Fallout cinematics have provided for me.
Fallout 2 has an awesome intro as well.

Best Street Fighter opening.

Neo Contra as a game was ok.
but I love this intro to death it's got to be the most over the top thing i'v ever seen.

Contra Shattered Soldier's intro is also hardcore as fuck
