You reminded me of Dofus Arena and my short but sweet time with that game. It was completely free, and I don't think they ever figured out how they could make money off it because there weren't premium shops nor was there an entrance fee.

What made it so goddamn good was that it was all the strategic combat of Dofus with none of the grind. Instead of levels, you were given a fixed budget to hire and outfit characters. You had to hire them, buy skills from that class' pool, and buy their gear without going over the limit. There were a lot of fun interactions with that system.

Some people went with 6 nude units loaded with skills. They went down easy, but some classes excel at taking hits even without armor, and some classes have so much utility that they don't need gear. And then there's the complete opposite, where you took 2 or 3 and completely fucking decked them out. One of those dudes would have enough power to slice clean through that 6 man no gear team without breaking a sweat. You could try doing a blend of the two styles, and use each class' traits to get as much value out of your kamas as possible. It was a really fun game to theorycraft and test your ideas.

What class are you playing? Barrier is intended for glass cannons as a temporary boost early that fades as a fight goes on, heals recived apparently only applies when an ally heals you so it's not great solo.

HP vs Armor kind of confuses me a bit, I guess armor is a better choice if you want to stay at a relatively high % hp, so you can take a bit of damage, but since it's from armor you're still at 100% hp.

Don't stress about it too much, you get a free reset at level 30, so before that just experiment with stuff.

Take everything I say with a grain of salt, I've never gotten near endgame

As for stats, in Intelligence Resist should always be maxed first, resist always scales at the same way regardless of the amount you have so +100 always results in -20% damage taken (roughly).

HP is what you want most, the more you have the more slowly heal res builds, and if you have summons their HP is usually based off yours. Armor is this guy's description of Barrier , it's for glass cannons who lack sustain or are ranged so that a healer can focus on others in PvE and gives them an advantage in short PvP fights.

Barrier gives you however many points you have invested in it each round. Each point reduces one hit by half your level in HP. So if you were level 200 with 3 points in barrier and got hit 4 times 1000 HP you'd take 900, 900, 900, 1000. DOn't bother with Barrier at lower levels.

Ignore heals received completely its only even remotely viable on PvE tanks.

Have you tried the Brotherhood of Tofu tumblr account? It usually had links to most all of the translated shit, comics included. Then again, I'm not exactly sure how terrible the plus4chan crowd is, but they'd been reliably doing the translation work back when the second season was going.
