The current younger generation largely grew up in broken homes. Who would willingly emulate the fate of their parents, seeing the nightmare a failed relationship can bring? Divorce rates are now over 50%, and it would be a risky gamble to marry. Compounded with abuse of divorce courts toward men, and you have an entire generation of men who see little incentive to marry. Children are also horribly expensive, see my point about employment and wages.

College debt is higher than personal credit card debt, and doesn't guarantee a job in your chosen field. Those stupid enough to pursue college aren't likely to pin down a career in their field of study, and are stuck paying that debt for potentially decades. Not going to college limits your career options even further.

From my position, I opted out of college, seeing as I can't afford it, and going into debt is a poor choice. Literally everyone he knows told him this was a horrible idea, but she convinced him his parents would "try to control it". To no one's surprise she stole the car and there was a massive court mess which she probably would've won if her single mom parent had deep enough pockets. Same guy also flew to Arizona (Another country) to hook up with his long distance girl friend without telling anyone, resulting in a missing person's case and the cops going to everyone's house (She also dumped him). Another started college and dropped out of it, sits at home earning cheevos, gets almost weekly lectures from his uncle (Who lives upstairs). Another who got (((diagnosed))) with depression and now has to take pills for it, the source of which being the massive debt he realized he got himself into when he went into college (Although his dad tried to warn him). And finally another who works 12 hours a day and can't even shower, much less hang out anymore. I have plenty more stories if anyone wants to hear them, but long story short, this generation is shot
