The thing is, if Trump does in fact know that it's a false flag (he has to, considering Don Jr. watches right wing social media), he would have nothing to gain from calling it out immediately. He's in a much stronger position if his opponents don't know that he knows, or if his opponents think they've successfully played him. Always appear to know less than you know.
