I got a new laptop and it seems like it might be able to handle some games. But sometimes I have my laptop and some free time but no mouse on hand. Are there any fun games that can be played with only the keyboard and touchpad?

You can play roguelikes if your laptop has a numpad. Wouldn't recommend playing them without one.

Emulation of any console that uses solely digital button input.

FTL comes to mind

I've been in that same situation. I played emulated games, Nethack, and Kingdom of Loathing.

Super Hexagon
GSGs
Trackmania
DOOM

(checked)
DoW Dark Crusade
It's the only RTS I've tried playing with a touchpad

stepmania

arrow keys are by default garbage and even more garbage on laptops.

What a bunch of bs
Ok now it makes sense, i might even read it now.

MoO2 and Endless Space come to mind.

BUY A FUCKING MOUSE YOU CAN GET ONE FOR $5 HOW FUCKING POOR ARE YOU HOLY SHIT

archive of the article btw

HOW DO YOU PLAY A LAPTOP ON THE GO WITHOUT HAVING A BAG TO CARRY IT WITH DO YOU JUST STRAP IT TO YOUR BELTLOOP OR SOMETHING WHAT THE FUCK

there's these new things called laptop bags, usually its like a backpack but cut off arm and make more square, usually they have pockets but sometimes, you want a quick game of *, thats why OP didn't want to include games that required mouse input

jesus, calm the fuck down nigger.

but more importantly;
WHO THE FUCK STILL BUYS APPLE LAPTOPS?

They have some of the best build quality and components in a laptop period

youre going to want turnbased games. RPGs and the like

Doom

Shooters like Ikaruga and R-Type can be played with just the keyboard.
Most emulated games should be pretty easy with the keyboard too.

I sincerely hope you're trolling but if not:

Apple's shit is manufactured by Foxconn, a company in China
Foxconn is known throughout the manufacturing industry for being exceptionally mediocre
They've also engaged in seriously shitty business practices including tantamount slavery (college students forced to work on PS4 assembly, etc)

...

darkest dungeon might be good, not a lot of mouse usage and it's turn based

As long as it's not an fps or some bullet hell crap, with some time you can play most games just fine with just the trackpad, but not as well as with a 5$ mouse.
If you do want to play with the trackpad, I recommend turning mouse sensitivity up, as most trackpads will be too slow for even casual gaming.

Factorio
Dwarf Fortress

are my goto macbook games

Spelunky, Binding of Isaac, Ys games, Shawn Tay game

This is what merkans actually believe.

it's made with rainbow magic, you just have to believe

Dwarf Fortress

it is sometimes physically impossible to play with a mouse when you travel, or very difficult

Mac Laptops are great for certain business scenarios

I recommend this website
macgames-download dot com

Their build quality is still the best.
And what's wrong with slaves? They build some of history's greatest monuments.

Spend $10 and get a fucking mouse. wtf.

If you have a PS4/360 controller, you can play loads of games. PSP emulation can run on toasters, PS2 less so, but still possible.

CataclysmDDA

Don't play Dwarf Fortress. It will be good in the beginning but your babymode processor won't be able to handle mid/late game.

Yeah if you're in the business of being a faggot.

yeah good fucking luck replacing a part if you need to.
You have to make a special tool out of a coat hanger and pvc just to change the HDD. You can't buy one.
You have to deal with different screws microns apart in thickness to get to the logicboard, and if you forget which screw went where, you'll scratch the circuitry and kill the system.
