PSO2 has no singleplayer but I've clocked about 1100 hours into it mostly soloing shit. You can password your game to keep fags out and if you're hardcore enough to can solo shit so yeah, it's pretty solid.

I can't help you for quartz but since you presumably don't have the burst damage to destroy it in seconds, circle around and lock onto the tail and break it. That exposes a weak spot. Lock onto it again and wittle it down, being careful to keep your distance and watch for tells.

Fucking gameguard!

I've been playing for three days now without a problem beyond the first hour or so. Now all of a sudden I started getting NP1013 again.

Tried to find ways to fix it, but in the process I think I messed something up so I'm reinstalling the game from scratch. If I didn't require a proxy, I'd probably just say fuck it to the english patch at all.

What's Sega's fucking problem with non-jp players anyways?

Well, gameguard is just attacking the proxy. And Sega blocked people from SEA because they got their own version. Sega has stated that they are fine with foreigners but they just won't provide customer service to us in English.

Yeah, I've been reading into that while I'm installing. I think at some point I got some sort of misinformation about what was actually happening.

My problem is I can't connect without the proxy. When I try, it acts as if the servers are all offline. This makes it feel kind of personal I guess. Gameguard just waiting for me to log on and then dropping a massive turd on my face while shouting something in Japanese.

So I'm just going to let the official client download the updates, then see if I can get on. If I can play even without the patches, maybe I'll stick with it. If not, I'll use the tweaker and set it up all over again.

Where are you from?

Did your GN field launch normally? Sometimes it might not launch fast enough and you have to manually launch it when the tweaker goes away and PSO2 logo appears.

Also if you don't need proxy and don't want to use tweaker, you can manually extract English patches into your PSO2 files.

From what I've heard, the block wasn't Sega's decision. It was Playpark's. What people said was that Playpark knew nobody would want to play on their server when the JP one was so far ahead, so part of their localization contract forced Sega to ban SEA IPs from the JP server. Playpark was completely right that nobody would want to bother with their shitty server because I just checked their official site, and they're still drip feeding their players Episode 2 content to this day. They've dragged out Episode 2 about half a year longer than Sega did, and they aren't even done dragging it out yet.

Keep in mind that uninstalling the game does not uninstall Gameguard. A lot of people make this mistake and get frustrated when reinstalling the entire game does nothing to fix gameguard issues. To fix those issues, you have to delete the gameguard folder in your PSO2 install files. Usually this fixes things, but there are times when even that doesn't work. If you're unlucky and gameguard is still fucking up, you'll have to uninstall the game, then uninstall gameguard by going into your registry and manually deleting the gameguard files there, and finally, use the task manager's services tab to find out if you have a rogue gameguard service that refuses to terminate. If you do have this rogue service, you'll have to enter your command prompt and delete it from there. Once you've jumped through all those hoops, purged the evil from your computer, and the young priest and old priest have left your house, then you can reinstall PSO2 normally.
If you don't want to deal with all that shit, there's also the option of the mobile PSO2 player (Vita) or the home version PSO2 player (PS4). I own the mobile PSO2 player, and while it's not ideal, it got me online the time gameguard issues fucked over my PC install.

Update: Got it fully reinstalled, logged on proxy free with no issue, get into game and get slapped by 1013 again. Time to begin testing some other techniques. At the very least I know I can go without the proxy and thus am free to not be targeted.

It seems to have kicked the problem. YMMV, but I didn't even require a restart. Simply disabling all services sufficed. That means it must have been colliding with one of my background programs. Likely my mouse software or something. Razer has that shitty game overlay thing.

Use them on a class that is level 60-69. You can just leech in XH EQs with your level 72 class. Silver keys don't give much experience anyway and magatsu is mainly for star gems and lambdas.

When you die, in certain circumstances you lose the quest. When playing XQ for example.
But don't fret, as long as you have money you can revive yourself essentially paying for immortality and eventually beating the mission because enemies don't heal when you're down.

Bonus quest keys. They give a lot of exp, except this magatsu silver key one. You can get these from doing featured quests too.

Happened to me on my Nvidia PC. I eventually just deleted the User.pso2 file in the Sega folder, and start the game to get a new one.

Change to T6 after that from tweaker or Vanilla launcher. If you're too scared to delete it, just make a backup copy of it and put it elsewhere.

You don't have to redo much after you remove it. All your keybinds are saved server side it seems, which is the most time consuming thing imo. You'll probably have to tick some other settings to the way it was before though, and redo your resolution settings.

First, last night instead of downloading the 2.6 gig update it downloaded 19 gigs to update 2.6.

Then when I launched it for some reason it didn't have the english and story patches installed

When I reinstalled those I started getting the gameguard error

Once I fixed the gameguard error my patches weren't installed again once I relaunched the tweaker.

I've never had to spend so much fucking time waiting just to play a damn game.

Think of the patches as a mod. With every update of the game, the mod gets outdated as well which is why it automatically uninstalls itself so as to avoid conflicts.

It's for good reason however, such as to minimize chances of files being incompatible after an update.

You'll do fine with just the basic EN patch and Large Files. Only apply the Story Patch if you have the spare time to do so, since that takes a good 20~30 minutes.

Technically speaking it IS a mod.

Look into that new GU skill that lets you remove one charge from your PAs if used after a different PA.

Meaning to say, PAs that you can charge to one level have no charge time at all, and PAs that have two charge levels only need to be charged once to get to max. That should massively make a difference to your playstyle if you're not a scrub.

Pretty big team, just got into double MPA run (24 peps).
Their acceptance requirements are as autistic as you would expect, but it isn't really that high, since most of 7-11 active players fit that shit easily. Dan has like twice as better shit.

They have huge spreadsheets for all their MPA so you get assigned to specific team to do specific shit. While it may look pointless, it actually cuts time spent on EQ greatly. I wouldn't mind having this practice in 7-11.

Team itself is a bunch of regular people sometimes spouting memes, discussing currently popular shit, game's mechanics and sega's policies.

Overall shit's pretty boring, but having around 20 people online during unpopular hours makes it lively.
Everyone is pretty friendly and apart from strict requirements it's your run of the mill english-speaking team.

I'll probably drop out after the week or two, because I doubt there will be any drama or laughs to get there. However I fail to see why some of our dudes hate them so much, they don't stand out to me in any positive or negative light. Yet

You should try running some EQs where you can actually fail, not much keks to be had during tomato.
You know that means forcing you to play a specific role, so like noDemise4you unless you have FoTe. That also means no randoms because they wont put up with this shit or will get too confused by all that spreadshit. Also, how much time do you have to be online before the EQ starts for a slot?

If you are unable to get out of your comfort zone and play something other than you used to, you're a scrub. SCRUB!
That being said I asked if my comfort class combo is ok on other EQs and they said yes, so whatever.

They still use randoms somehow. Maybe they just instruct them directly instead of linking to google docs.

They start organizing one and a half hour before start and on 30 minutes mark start calling in randoms while still accepting team members.
So being 1 hour before is pretty safe. You can also call a slot and go do your shit.

It probably is the missing/old files issue. If your game is missing certain files, you're going to get that infinite loading screen/CTD when you need them.

If all else fails then run the JP launcher and see if that fixes anything.

Not sure, but you can try torrenting the soundtrack for that game I suppose.

Most likely you will be able to redeem those weapons forever, just that your reliable LQ badge farm is only as long as the LQ lasts.
