After Funimation completely rebuked Kenichiro, Shiozaki stepped in and asked them(meaning: Politely told them) to let XSeed use the characters. They politely said "Fuck you" to Shiozaki. In turn Shiozaki and his his manager/lawyers/publisher sent a letter threatening to revoke Funimations rights to Ikki Tousen. There has been no response from Funimation at this point so, hopefully they are reconsidering.

I pirated Dragon's Dogma, Fallout New Vegas, TES 3/4, Half Life 1/2, and Dark Souls 3 and bought them shortly afterwards because I liked them. If a game doesn't have a demo and I haven't played it at a friends house, I always pirate it before buying.

I will, however, admit that the boss battles actually require you to pay attention, as they whooped my ass a little bit. It's just as easy for enemy bosses to wombo combo you just like you can wombo combo them.

The delay on Uppers was probably for the explicit reason of not repeating that mistake. I'll bet they rushed it to get it out within a certain time frame of Mermaid airing. That was a pretty stupid idea considering how bad Mermaid was. I have a feeling it turned a lot of people off on buying Bhikkhuni.

It's not court, it's arbitration. Which is basically court ordered "reasonable" negotiation. In matters like these this is the step before a lawsuit. If negotiations do not end well with both parties happy then Funimation will have a choice of either a judge deciding or renouncing their rights to Ikki Tousen.

Just to add, if arbitration fails, don't expect miracles with a court case. Our copyright and patent laws here in America, especially in the California court system, are so fucked that Shiozaki and his publishers may be told they have 0 say in what Funimation does in the US and that they can't even revoke their right to Ikki Tousen. Plus, a court case is not in Marvelous' nor Shiozaki's best interest because of the financial burden involved.

In terms of raw financial and legal power Funimation would win if they simply chose to draw the case out.

So, God willing, this gets settled in arbitration because, in my professional opinion, it's very slim they'd win in the courts.

The short and simple is the courts will say "You (Shiozaki & Publisher) gave Funimation (In most cases sold, or lent, or provided) via a legally binding contract, the rights to your work(Ikki Tousen/Battle Vixens) for distribution in these specified regions(Usually North America, South America, and parts of Europe & the Middle East)." This will mean that until the contract expires, and it will expire, Shiozaki and the publishers cannot do anything at least here in the U.S.

In the other regions, the court systems are much more favorable to the content creators; especially South America and the Middle East(Israel's court system is number 1 in the world for protecting the rights content creators both foreign and national). So, what may be a good work around, but will take a much longer time, is cut off the flow of distribution for Funimation into all other regions except the US. This would be a great option because Ikki Tousen is not a financial success for Funimation in the US. It is a real money maker in South America and the Middle East. We have discussed with Shiozaki's publishers, but they are hoping it will not come to that.

It's a good port. No performance problems and, even on my now "lower end" laptop i can still break 1080p and play over 40fps. So i'd say that's pretty fucking good.

It's dumb. That's the best way to describe it. Dumb fun. Not at the absurd levels of Oh!Great's Tenjo Tenge, as anons mentioned, but it can get there. The first leg of the story treats itself dead-serious for the most part and has a lot of brutality and even someone getting raped to death (Anime).

The anime's first two seasons hold that serious tone more or less, with the MC being a battle maniac and ditz. Every other season, and absolutely every OVA short is manic sexploitation goodness, mostly of the gravure variety and toilet humor brand. You see titties for days.

The manga keeps the serious tone for the most part and is still ongoing. However, fan scanslations stopped ages ago, and the official translations from Tokyopop are a fucking laughingstock.

Let me be clear: Battle Vixens is NOT Ikkitousen. The edits, censors, and alterations make it an almost completely different story with different, overcompensated characterizations.

So basically, unless you can read moon, avoid the manga. It's not worth the headache.

The premise itself is Romance of the Three Kingdoms by and large genderswapped and put into a fight manga format. If you're a Dynasty Warriors fan, chances are you will be amused by the series. It's cheap fun for what it sets out to do.

Bonus: If you're looking for an even cookier and fun time (with decent porn, even), look up Koihime Musou, a PC title that's been out for a long while. Different premise, but still genderswapped RoTK characters.

Anime - Ryofu's girlfriend is raped by Totaku's men and dies from complications of the beating/rape later. Ryofu kamikaze's Totaku and wraps up that conflict in time for Ukitsu to come after Hakufu in the final episode of season 1.

Manga - Ryofu & her girlfriend jump of a cliff to their deaths iirc. The rape still happens but it doesn't kill her.

Don't forget that tons of people pirated fallout 4 and that is still very profitable.
