Nintendo is actually branching out with another IP in the near future- Splatoon did very well and they'vre said on-record that they're looking forward to a few years of absolute glory where they're willing to try new things with it before they ride it into the ground like every other IP Nintendo has declaired big.

Hell, Splatoon was their first forray into the online multiplayer objective-based third-person shooter, and they actually managed to make something fun_.

The "servers" are just the matcher, it's actually somewhat feasible for pservers to be autism'd into existance when that eventually happens. Additionally, Ninty's always been the biggest voice in backwards compatibility, so there's even a non-zero chance that Spla2n will have a "Retro Mode" that lets it play with Splatoon.

Microtransactions have a decent chance given that the dlc cancer hit Brawl and more significant (re: more than eyes gender skincolor) inkling customization is likely in Spla2n… But the gender slider doesn't seem very likely on a Ninty IP. Ability to make traps (regular and reverse), sure, but a slider that does it for you? Nah.

I mean, shit, brah, FE Fates didn't have supports for the lesbo with the avatar's daughter, but the lesbo could fuckin' MARRY the avatar's son- and this was even true in the nip version of the game. Ninty's got issues, sure, but their cuckdar signature is from how the localization teams are paid (quantity of changes, not quality).
