Ok, to be fair, in an actual empty city I'd be more worried about getting murdered or worse by gangs.

"Comfy" or "cozy" would have been better words. For the most part I've felt safe walking around most of the cities I've visited or lived in, but I've never felt that serenity that pics like these convey. Perhaps because they portray fantasy lands free of crime and danger. Perhaps because I will always be an outsider without a strong cultural and racial identity to tie me to any land and put me at peace with my neighbors.

It's weird. The walking simulator is simultaneously one of the most repulsive ideas to me in modern gaming, yet also one that I could potentially enjoy the most if it was ever done right.
