For all we know, there's a reality where the fact that Peter is a spineless beta who basically was an abusive father to an innocent alien he barely acknowledged and failed to raise to be handed to an insane religious zealot, a criminal and all the other horrific vision of the evil of man crap it's been put through and it's really hammered in just how much he HATES doing the superheroism thing because of how much on edge it puts him under pressure, where his physique despite improved has him at a really crappy TEST level because of what happened to his biochemical structure and hormone distribution due to the spiderbite which makes him "timid" like a spider, and it really screws him over, next to the fact that Gwen is a Town bicycle and MJ is actually a fucking Shemale Pornstar and 'her' Modelling Job is doing Natalie Mars and bailey Jay shit on a regular basis, and that crap she pulled with her family was really her tying up the loose ends with them because "Bombshell tranny product of modern science or something." and Peter has NO fucking clue about it until the unavoidable "you're beautiful" moment when they finally get round to the bedroom.

Eventually, slowly but surely, you see Peter's sanity slip as he realizes how much of a failure he's become with the monster's he's made in his career and dedication to Ben's memory that he realizes that the emotional contact with his loved ones- mostly female is something that has utterly ruined him because they've never been able to provide him the strength that Ben wanted to Nuture in him, and he REALLY starts taking extremes in his work to escape this cycle- even continuing with MJ because he isn't a Murderous Spider-Recluse (yet) solely because he realizes he's been dating/fucking a goddanmed mentally Ill degenerate who could oust him in a complete fucking breakdown if he were to ever reject her-

Then the Mutation saga kicks in, and he fucking Liquifies MJ inside-out spitting out 'her' implants before he goes back to normal, and he goes further down the deep end because of the fact that MJ being out of his life is a good thing, and he's dodged a massive bullet- but on a further note, MORE damage to his brain occurs because of this, and Peter Assumes a very Amgydala-esque Lizard-like atittitude towards himself and others, next to developing a bite that causes necrosis.

On the sidelines, the Osbournes, the son and the Father fulfil less of a Good friends of Peter line and more of a "The Kid is a sociopath, but is a fulfilled one thanks to daddy's money" And the Dad is more of a stressed out businessman who became successful only coming to terms of the brutality of his craft which eats away at his kind nature before it's Gobbo time, adopting it as a means to escape how much of a bad person he's become in the eyes of others as a dissociative personality disorder brought on by the culimation of stress from a few Cape based incidents at the workplace and pressures from stockholders in his company-

Anyhow, back to the Venom line, that saga fulfils the same narrative it always has, but there are moments in inner dialouge that hint at Lovecraftian vibes, which manifest themselves later in Carnage at a total rework of Maximum Carnage, where that fucking Massacre that went down is a goddanmed important event opposed to no memorial days and literally no memory other than to serve as a reminder that Carnage fills the niche of Spiderman's Joker but without the Charm and Tact and feels more like those Slasher movies sequels that go over the top and becomes a dark comedy murder party for all the family to watch opposed to a Child-victim turned serial killer given all his fantasies granted possiblity to be made manifest, with the only consequenes being that home-grown symbiote's symbiosis utterly changing what makes him human- and turning him into the kind of person who Had a few insight levels added to his insight score in bloodborne, Kleutus goes from simple but effective killings to the hyper-intelligent "Tis merely a ruse" alien lovecraftian being whose horrific "killings" are more purposeful, sinister and forboding in nature.

Around this point, we've recluse spidey and inter commentary noting that no matter what, Spidey is getting some Unfortunate lovecraftian victim vibes going on when he deals with carnage, because the killings start to take on form and fucntion that relate to association of higher power- which is shifted to Dormanmu to throw off the trail, following how the Carnage Saga played out in the 90's TV show, Demogoblin and his batshit Christian Crusade lasts past the saga, and in addition is related to the Culty lovecraftian shit going on in the background-

Then we get to the Maddam Web part- and whelp, this time around that woman literally looks like an Avatar of a Genderbent Hastur with a spider theme, and things really take a turn for the worst, and reality starts to break down with Madame web being ammoral and otherwise uncaring and ultimately- alien or something.

Basically, we take Spidey, make highlights to today's modern degenerate society, and make things slowly turn into Lovecraftian themes which link in with Dr.Strange and that time he thought it'd be a great idea to Invoke Nyralathotep because some cunt thought he could be a spellcaster, nearly killing (I use this word sparingly) the avengers and expect no aftereffects.

But that's my take on it.
