Scooby Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold

They brought back Batman Brave and the Bold back just to have them in a crossover movie with Scooby Doo.

Warner Bros you absolute madmen.

Great another one to add to the Scooby doo crossovers and specifically in the folder labeled batman.

JAMES TUCKER YOU CRAZY BASTARD! I LOVE YOU!

Is it so hard to rip?

I am not really complaining hell this could have been an episode of BATB

Damn, that actually looks pretty good

>Was re-watching BTAB on Jewtube
D-Did I use a Monkey Paw or some shit?

I love it.

anyone have a torent for season 2 and 3 of BATB? Only have part of season 2

Yes this is what I want.

Fuck, I actually want to pay for this.

I'm ready

You know, I was hoping they'd put out something that looks like it's worth watching.
I wasn't expecting it to be this, but I'm glad it is.

Naw, man, you must've talked to a genie in your sleep or something, because this is good.

Fuck yeah!
Slightly less hyped because I'm impatient but still fuck yeah!

...

When that episode was first announced, I thought it would've been a BATB/Mystery Inc crossover since they were both airing at the time, but alas.

Still, this is good. Any new BATB is good with me.

More info

What, no Captain Cutler? Still excited though, it might be the one film that I buy in a long time.

Did someone get their Scooby-Doo and DC Universe stuff mixed-up?

All good news. Kenny is a good replacement for Stephen Root. I hope he plays it classier than his TB Penguin. Combs is a surprise. I guess Mystery Inc needs to be warned of the sinister function of aglets.

Man, Warner is really pushing that bitch

Knowing Tucker, it'll end with a giant ridiculous fight with all of the villains.

It's like stumbling upon the real life end of a rainbow and finding a pot of gold.

...

Worst part of that episode was the lack of ushkana bats

No, the worst part of that episode is the lack of Terry Bats. He was going to be among the multiversal Batmen, but they decided late in production that it was too soon for a reference the Timmverse.

That's why we got a weird Terry/Azbats Batman that wasn't a reference to anything.

Terry got his reference, though.

This show was too good for this world

They probably got confused because he was in an issue of Scooby-Doo Team Up!. You see to think that DTVs get much in the way of proof reading and revision.

You know it.

5757 dubs confirm.

I'm glad they animated that even though we can barely see it.

BATB Thread? BATB Thread.

...

Bat-milk?

This is all I ever wanted out of my miserable life.

Almighty be praised.

And there's the boner magic.

Okay, definitely watching this now

Well nothing is perfect. At least they kept her Brave and the Bold design. If only she had never been voiced by Tara Strong though…

Truly this is probably the last bit of good news we'll have for years to come.

...

I saw the original Batman/Scooby Doo crossover not too long ago. It was a chore to get through though because of the crap animation and writing. Plus I'm not much of Scooby Doo fan to begin with.

The only reason we even have Harley Quinn in BATB is because Dini needed to insert his OC where it wasn't wanted. I feel turning her into a generic goon was the crew's way of flipping him the bird.

We can only hope she's just in one scene, while the rest of the movie is the Joker hamming it up solo.

Best Joker

If we were a bit louder, could we convince them to make a Scooby Doo Ghoul School sequel even if its just a one time film?

And they did the right thing. Because that's how she should've stayed.

All you had to say to make my dick rock hard.

Brave and the Bold had pretty much every Batman villain ever created. I refuse to believe they wouldn't 'want' Harley.

What other version of the Joker has goons based on silent film comedians, complete with a Harold Lloyd sporting a robotic hand?

First off, no. BATB didn't even have half of Batman's gigantic rogues gallery. Even within it's narrow focus of obscure Golden Age/Silver Age bad guys, it didn't even scratch the surface of those eras. There are goddamn legions of villains that remain buried in the comics. I'm certain James Tucker knows this and we'll be getting a fuck-ton more in this upcoming crossover.

Second, Harley Quinn really seems forced into the show. In the only episode she appeared (outside of a cameo in the finale), Emperor Joker, she didn't really contribute anything to the story. Her parts could've been be cut completely and nothing would be lost. She actually holds the episode back in some places just so it can accommodate her. Like in the fight scene where Batman stupidly doesn't knock her lights out, even though it was previously established that the HAMMERS OF JUSTICE aren't gender biased.

Given that the episode was written by her creator, I feel her inclusion was just to perpetuate his OC and nothing more.

And heroes too.

Hey Holla Forums.

I like it!

Who's the voice of Joker in BATB?

Jeff Bennett. He also did Batman's singing voice.

He also played every single version of the Joker that appeared on the show.

He also played the Creeper in TNBA.

...

Fun fact: The showrunner and several of the writers of Mystery Inc. ended up working on Beware the Batman after both BatB and Mystery Inc. ended.

It would explain some of the voice actors in BtB, mainly Udo Kier, Grey Delisle, and Matthew Lillard.

She was too good for this sinful earth.

Do you think we could bring other shows like this? It'd be cool if Tucker revived his Legion of Superheroes series through another team-up with Scooby. Pretty sure the LoSH have teamed up with Scooby and gang in the Team-Up comics as well.

I already knew that. I legit didn't know he voiced Daxter's dad

Huh neat. I mean the show was shit outside of the combat but it's neat none the less.

I liked BatB, but it could've been a lot better.

Please let best Bravo be in this even as a small background cameo!

...

Here, you lazy faggot.

magnet:?xt=urn:btih:c564ee522d20600eb27395d52fa1fd97f38c9f65&dn=batman+the+brave+and+the+bold+season+1%2C2%2C%26amp%3B+3&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.leechers-paradise.org%3A6969&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fzer0day.ch%3A1337&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fopen.demonii.com%3A1337&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.coppersurfer.tk%3A6969&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fexodus.desync.com%3A6969

But that's dolphin porn.

...

I thought I was the only one who cared

Crime leaves many victims, user.

I never knew he voiced that cartoon.

Is that show any good? I just finished BatB and animated and I'm midway on beyond and soon I will need something new

Yeah, he was the nerdy scientists that has a crush on Katana. It's probably one of the few non-Shaggy voice roles he's had.

It's pretty good. If you're into serialized storytelling, it does build up to decent stories and it throws some twists on usual or familiar Batman lore. It is the complete opposite of Brave and the Bold in terms of tone, though. It's mostly serious and straight-laced, with a funny line here or there.

No. It's not.

How do you know Murrica is a shithole?
Because they still care for Scooby Doo.

It feels more like TMNT 2012 with a darker tone tbh.

Hey Holla Forums

...

...

Fuck you northernfag. We French still love the Scooby Doo.

Aren't some comic writers starting to get that bringing back really old characters nets them points? I mean look at Kite Man in Batman Rebirth.

Hey Holla Forums

No. People say that BtB explores more of Batman's detective angle but all it amount to (from what I seen) is getting Batman to talk out loud more. Out of the animated Batmen, BtB's Batman has the weakest morals and he isn't as smart as the show keeps trying to remind us that he supposed to be. It also broke the golden Batman TV series rule having a catchy tune on the fights. The villains are also mostly cliche Batman villain archetypes put into less popular villains. There is a lot more to cover but the point is that it quite bad.

Someone settle an argument between me and my autistic roommate. How was the animation in BatB?

Stop obsessing over manchild shit and fuck him in the ass already.

Comic writers are too stupid. One Marvel writer doesn't want to write good stories about imperials in his SW comics run because they were "nazis". Its just that stupid. But yes, Kite Man was a godsend and if they actually bothered to make something great out of the Metal Men again and finish up forgotten stories, that'd be swell.

It was pretty damn good. The character designs are are bit blocky, but the animation is fluid as fuck and the backgrounds have that "timeless setting" Batman TAS feel (not that New Adventures crap), until they started referencing 2000 shit more directly, along with ipad shit and that modern president cameo. Should've been Kennedy or Lyndon B. Johnson since the show had more of a 60s feel for me.

How? He actually tried to appeal to genuinely mentally ill villains like Magpie and Humpty, actually treated Metamorpho as the victim he was and wasn't shy about his disgust at Stagg despite saving him, actually feels guilt about not protecting the smaller neighborhoods, etc.

Why isn't he smart?

The music on The Batman was utter crap. At least Beware had some nice leitfmotifs.

Besides Anarky, who?

Oh, nevermind. Opinion discarded.

He also gave the LoA the soultaker sword.
Also, calling Humpty "honorable" for letting go of innocent hostages when his plan failed is very unBatman like.
Giving the soultaker to the bad guys.
Do you even remember the tune that they play in the fights? Because I don't.

Honestly, I don't want to beat a dead horse. I can go to the specifics but no. It mostly boils down to the "Family" episode.

...

...

The only good thing I can think of Beware the Batman is that it shows him as flawed. I feel a lot of the time Batman has been turned into a Gary Stu over the years but this show actually tried to show him as flawed and needing help. I liked the one episode where he fights Croc in prison but that's about it.

Oh it already came out? Nice. Ooh they even got the old voice for the Question back!

Yep. It was pretty good too.

Bane should be having his dogs Cuban style, with ham, swiss cheese, sliced pickles, onions and mustard.
And how the hell does he eat? Does he have to unzip the gimp mask?

Magpie, more psychotic Catwoman expy. Humpty Dumpty, Riddler expy with a backstory so stupid I had to rewatch the episode he appeared in to make sure I didn't miss something - in fact, come to think of it, both episodes with Dumpty in them were insanely stupid. Professor Pyg and Mr. Toad getting Poison Ivy's gimmick, minus the seduction angle. The only villain that Beware the Batman did moderately well was Killer Croc and even then they basically ripped off The Batman's version of Croc, complete with a Cajun accent.

Beware was super inconsistent when it came to skill/power levels. One episode Batman creams Silver Monkey and Lady Shiva who similarly cream Katana, the next he is getting wrecked by Magpie who is just an insane asylum inmate that gets stalemated by Katana (God, I fucking hated "Attraction" so much. Talk about a completely pointless episode that doesn't move the plot forward or evolve the characters). So I think it's less a case of showing him as flawed and more a case of the plot dictating what Batman can or can't do.

Heresy. Still funny though. Velma looks pretty good as Robin reminds me of Carrie Kelly a bit.

...

You'd think this is a bad idea, but I'm amazed by how excited I actually am.
What's next? Batman Beyond.

I can't believe they got Jeffrey Combs back

MUH

DICK

FINALLY

That's a whole damn lot to put on a hotdog.

This is pretty good.
The best Batman movies are the ones NOT made on the Nu52 style, I wonder if DC/WB has finally caught up with that yet.
Also, this is the best Scooby-Doo DTV since at least 2015.

That's the episode that introduces the whole idea that Batman needs to keep his time between himself and Bruce balanced, or else he becomes unhinged. It's a concept that, while not shown in the League of Assassins episodes, is revisited in the second half of the season.

I think we're getting these just because James Tucker is in charge of the movies, and he produced BatB and grew up with 60's Batman. I wouldn't hold my breath for more show revivals.

I can't fault Tucker for it though. If he's going to be stuck being DCE's hatchet man, he should be allowed to make fun movies occasionally.

Death and Return of Superman are next for the DC original movies. I can't wait to see how they fuck that up.

Fun fact: Tucker twice pitched a No Man's Land cartoon, but Warner rejected them because of the dark premise.

I think the Beware the Batman guys also pitched No Man's Land, unless they were working with Tucker on it.

Tucker later was grateful they didn't go with it because it would've been a nightmare to do in CGI. I guess WB was pushing for a CGI Batman for other pitches as well before Beware was made.

I'm pleased they mentioned that the Spectre killed the shit out of Professor Milo.

...

I just finished watching it. Damn, did I miss BATB.

The only negative I found was that Tara Strong got a paycheck FOR NO REASON.

Facelifts aren't free, user.

It's more like Harley had absolutely no reason to be in the movie.

At least they kept her to that one scene, but you can feel Warner's tendrils pushing that bullshit character.

What design did they use? Court jester or '20s flapper?

Flapper.

…with a Mallet.

Well, I don't disagree with you there.

Tara probably sucked off a few of the guys to get into the movie.

No. Warner's been shoving Harley into everything nowadays. I think it's because they believe she appeals to the female market, but who the fuck knows.

Disappointing. The jester costume was half the appeal

She probably sucked off a few guys but I doubt it had anything to do with getting in the movie.

It's even worse because Harley Quinn didn't have much of a role in BATB to begin with. She was just in one episode as a flunky.

They could've given the Mad Hatter or The Ventriloquist speaking roles for the waste of time she was there.

I think you're confusing it with something else, "Attraction" is an episode where Batman was apparently visiting Magpie in jail this whole time so she gets more obsessed with him, breaks out and tries to kill Katana because of jealousy. Oh and Batman jobs a lot in it. Batman becoming unhinged wasn't even touched upon until after the "Alfred leaves Bruce" subplot post-Ra's-al-Ghul.

How easy people forget.

DC's gotta get that female demographic somehow.

What?

Shit, I fucked it up.
>Tried to kill a man in cold blood for the Joker so she could ride his dick more.
Then again, maybe Tara Strong is the perfect VA for her.

You know you can delete posts, right?

Please to be deletings all posts, I am thanking you. Sorry my English is not too good.

I encourage you to post in this voice from now on.

Dont forget to lurk more.

Yeah, but I'm correcting just one thing.and someone already replied to it so…

Did they enjoy that Willy Wonka movie?

I thought it was because she panders to the casual crowd.

At least they leave open the window to allow you the chance to see peoples reactions when they find out.

Damn this movie was good even the mystery was surprisingly well crafted and had things I didn't even see coming.

No, that's the right episode. Alfred remarks on how it was that he visited Magpie, and how odder it was that he didn't tell him or anyone else about it. He infers it is because he relates too much to Magpie and how she overtook her other identities. Magpie also tries to tempt him into being Batman full time and join her, but she rejects him.

Then there's the ending of that episode:

youtube.com/watch?v=EbQEzIuytP0

It's set-up in that episode, but not really touched on again until after Ra's.

Think about how many years it's been since Batman did some actual detective work.

BATB Batman is best Batman.

Has a torrent been posted?

Do the WB games count?

About twenty

You mean the Arkham games? Ehh they're fun beat em up games with stealth elements but the detective stuff is very basic and not as deep.

Since two weeks ago's Batman?

I'm not getting this trend of saying there's little mystery solving in Batman stuff when there's been greater efforts in the past few years to do so.

Well if you WOULD read the comics.
He even does some detective work in The Dark Knight. Not much but it's there.

This.

I thought what he did was CSI stuff in the Dark Knight. Not the typical detective work.

That bit where he reconstructed fingerprints from bullet fragments that he drilled out of a wall was hilarious.

>IT HAS THE ORIGINAL CAST OF THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD
>INCLUDING BATMAN'S FANTASTIC VOICE
It could have been perfect… At least I got used to them.

I'm scared, the LatAm version of the last Scooby-Doo movie still had the Mystery Inc/What's new voices, will the new ones from here on out have the BCSD?

I never quite like his voice, probably because the first place I heard him was in the shitty DC Animated movies just after the fantastic voice in DCAU, it just takes time to get used to it I guess.

How bad are the new voices?

Most probably, something tell me they are bound by contract to the characters from now on till who knows when just like the last voices were. I hope they realize their terrible mistake. Seriously, changing character's voices like that is one of the things I hate about dubbing. I love it when they are consistent, which is why I liked the fact that the cast from BATB returned.
Can you provide a clip? I don't quite remember that one. I think it's the one where he sounds really old, also, as far as I remember, his most popular voice have been Héctor Indriago.
God damn it.

It isn't that bad when you get used to them, particularly Fred's and Daphne. Velma tried to pull her shitty voice the first couple of scenes, but she sounded more normal as the movie went on. The worst have to be Shaggy and Scooby. They sound so different, both from the original english voices and from the dub voices, I wanted to beat them every time they said something.

Daphne hits you like a sack of bricks because is Twilight's Sparkle voice… I have a little sister and sounds very generic, but Fred's voice didn't change.
Shaggy's is fucked up and took me a while to catch Scooby's one but I got it. It's his voice from the Live Action movie and Velma's is too nasally.

Kinda, Batman had two VAs, Framk Maneiro and Jesús Seijas. Both had quite similar voices and low tones and would exchange episodes, but Seijas had this weird old man lisp/accent, Maneiro would continue to VA as Batman until the end of DCAU and that's when Indriago would carry on due to Maneiro's retirement, I've never thought Indriago is bad, is just that DCAU's Batman sounded so natural to me I can't help to find Indriago kind of forced… artificial?
Fucking retards. Absolute dumbasses
As long as they don't break the golden rule of NOT getting rid of Lex Luthor's smug ass voice. Seriously is like a Bond villain in Xanax

...

It did, the actor did, but you it's barely noticeable, which is why it's easier to get used to. Also, yeah, Carla Castañeda is the Tara Strong of Mexico. Mark my word, she will be everywhere and you won't realize until it is too late, both because her heritage and her generic as hell voice. As for Velma, yeah, that's exactly the problem, but in this movie, I either got used to it or it wasn't as bad as she did in BCSD
Exactly the one I was thinking about. Not like I disliked it, but they have been off duty for years now. Since I got used to Indriago voice from BATB, it isn't a problem, and I thought it was actually pretty good, since the "artificial" or "forced" voice adds a bit of cheesiness to the acting, but on itself it's also really manly and serious, which is why I think it fits perfectly with BATB. As for other batman works, I think the voice is serious enough, even when it's not natural, but I always thought that Batman faked it's own voice when as Batman to inspire fear, so there's also that.

South America's VA industry crashed really hard some years ago, and I don't know exactly why, maybe there are a lot of reasons, though, like how scattered the whole thing is, stagnation, changes in administration, peanuts as paycheck. This one is my favorite.
Pretty sure any beaner that went through this phase can tell for sure that it was a huge and sudden change. The quality dropped like the twin towers. It was fucking terrible, specially since Sensaciones Sonicas was one of the most important dubbing companies in South America. It was pretty hilarious how everything fell apart, though, and that's not even counting the what happened with Etcétera Group. Not like SDI media is less retarded. In fact, this change is exactly why THE SCOOBY DOO GANG USES THE FUCKING BCSD ACTORS.

HOLY SHIT
NEVER LET YOUR WIFE WITH THE GUN AND THE FOOT TO SHOOT AT!

Also, I got out of my way to get this clip because every time the thread derails into LatAm VA I never get to post this and no one ever mentions it.
Lobo manages to say "Superman, Son of a bitch". It makes sense since its Lobo, and 90's parents couldn't give less of a fuck back then, but it did, said expression was forbidden even for shows like "Law & Order: SVU" until as late as 2011. So having it on a kids show is completely bewildering to me.

The second webm is Superman's original dub VA (compare it to his JL's VA ), which I always preferred because it makes him sound like he's outside Metropolis compared to Lois who doesn't have an accent. Is almost like he was directed to sound like a farmboy. JL's voice makes him sound powerful and serious but I would've loved to have him in JL and JLU still sounding like someone from the camp.

I need to start watching cartoons in Spanish.

At your own risk. Latam dubbing has been in a consistent downhill in the past decade when it comes to cartoons and low profile work since they started to do the US technique of hiring a bunch of highschoolers and locking them up in a storage room or something, at this pace we're gonna hit eastern Germany tier of dubbing with the original audio still on kind of dub by 2030.
As a rare example, in very sparse cases I actually like more the Spaniard dub than the LatAm, like in W.I.T.C.H. their voices are less high pitched and there's less censorship, there are other examples but none of them are cartoons.

this thread took a strange turn and I love it, the whole thread

user your shiftkey is broken.

No one cares what you think faggot

user your gay gene is broken

Huh, you have a working one? Well that would explain the faggotry.

Wait, that was an insult?

keep forcin' that maymay champ, it'll catch on one day1

You sure seem to :^)

You might as well start tripfagging. You couldn't make it any more obvious when you're posting.

Its called a response.

It's called you're really obvious

>Jesus Seijas in BTAS LatAm
>Marcio Seixas in BTAS Brazil

The only thing missing is Mr. Seijas, God forbid, turn out to be a sex maniac too.

VIOLACIÓN!!!

As a taco I must say those HUE voices are pretty damn good, which is surprising in a good way, I've only some Portuguese dubs and they usually sound like shit, the rather weird thing is that I've seen some Brazil movies and they can act very well is just the dubs that rub me in the wrong way.
You see how the language can sometimes be REALLY accentuated to the point they may as well start to sing (Kinda like if a Chilango in Mexico was doing the same thing)? Well, in this case, it was very dry and to the point with very little accent… classy.

Keep in mind these are old-school voice actors and they had decades behind them at that point, some of them now are either too old, retired or dead (vid related). The batman voice was HAL9000 for fucks sake.

There's a new breed of voice actors now who… well, let's just say they really love to remind you how nerdy it is to receive minimum wage for a 10-hour job.

I liked how they managed to sneak Don Knotts in there.

I forgot what it feels like to be happy. Been a long time since I had a reason to post on Holla Forums considering the dreadful state of the majority of comics and animation. But this little number really brightened my day. Only thing I dislike is the fact that its getting mixed to positive ratings everywhere instead of full-on praise.

That's slightly surprising, but it figures. Normies generally have extremely shit taste.

Japs and jap kids love the fuck out of Tom & Jerry. Of course they did. They even made Tom and Jerry-themed marriage certificates now, among other merch shit.

It was like a heartfelt love letter to old school capeshit fans, BATB fans, Hanna-Barberafags and most especially kids. Can't believe it's been 10 years since BATB debuted. Yet norps will never appreciate it. I remember when Joker first appeared in BATB with his classic design and personality. I was gleeful when I saw the first sneak peek of the episode on youtube, but the comments were nothing but faggots whining about it not being "Heath Ledger" page after page.

...

Holy shit you're right.

How was their reaction at the Katnip version?

Patrick Star's voice actor retired long before Spongebob's first film, who knows if he got killed during those anti-socialist movements.

Yeah, BATB was an underrated gem. I felt much the same way when it first debuted, I thought it was dumb as hell. Then I actually watched it, and now I'm sad I didn't appreciate it when it was still on TV.

It had a good run.

...

It was honestl one of the only great tv shows that I felt sad it ended on that note. It gets worse when you look at the other ideas they had. It was such a great show that showed off the silver and golden age eras of DC in a fresh way.

Not many shows make it to 3 seasons and very few are brought back for a good special.

I'll always love the music meister episodes.

I heard they only stopped making new Batman Adventures episodes because the company figured they had enough episodes to keep running in syndication forever.

How many did they make?

Where would they run it Boomerang? CN runs nothing but TTGo! at this point.

They could stream it, like they're doing with YJ season 3.

I thought it was because the network got bored with it. That's why Batman Beyond was created.

If he is talking about TNBA, they only made 24 episodes. 65 is usually the magic number for cartoon shows and for live action shows it's usually 100 episodes. However, combined with BTAS' 85 episodes, that makes 109 episodes which means plenty for syndication.

Brave and the Bold lasted 65 episodes.

They were at one time concurrent. Batman, Superman and Batman Beyond all ran at the same time

I'm assuming they're bringing in their large collection of previous cartoon and live action shows and movies to the service.

Good. Season 2 was bad enough.

Boomerang would be the perfect place for it considering how old school it is, and Boomerang needs to remember what it was originally about, because nowadays they're just running TTGO, Clarence and AT reruns almost as much as CN. Those shitshows ain't even old or cancelled.

Wait Boomerang now shows TTGO as well? Even they are not safe from this cancer.

Netflix is better?

nuBen 10 and nuPPG too.

Oh my yes. Boomerang is basically just CN 2 now…
