I know that the actual production comes from CN Latin America but this has to eventually be exported to the US.

AFAIK I heard it has been approved for another series of shorts and an 11-minute pilot.
According to the author Black Hat runs a villain consulting company and has to carry his burdens in to become successful, this burdens being physically represented by the non-evil Experiment 5.0.5, the wimpy Dr. Flug and the chaotic Demencia all of them preventing him at some degree to achieve something. His other intention is to backtrack on the cliche that the leader is the incompetent one and having to be helped by his henchmen, Black Hat is unapologetically evil and smart.
Personally, I would love if the series turns out to be a short one when eventually BH gets sick and tired of the other ones bullshit and one by one gets rid of them.

If CN would be smart, they would not tone it down, and put Villanous right before Adult Swim starts. It would be excellent as a bridge between CN and AS.
It will be sad to see Villanous taken away from original creators, good actors replaced with voice acting celebs, and whole thing toned down and altered to mesh better with station's other programming.

Yeah but they have apprentices they teach to do several voices, I think this is 3rd gen with some 2nd and 4th thrown in., besides you have to work several years in cheap films before you get to dub a major project, there's really only like 7 VAs that always get AAA projects, they're underpaid AF but they're well known and beloved by the public and since Venezuela choked on his socialism pill Mexico is number one dubber now.

How come Venezuelan are still dubbing? You can still watch the same show they dub with new episodes and no changes whatsoever, Spongebob's voice actor has been voiced by the same guy during 15 years ever since its 2nd season.

AFAIK most venezuelan dubbing studios are in Florida now, and since internet exist now VAs usually record from their home or nearby studios and send the recording to Florida to be worked there. I should become a VA to see if I can get out of this hellhole, I also personally know the voice of peridot.

Hey man, I wasn't the dude that posted it. I didn't yank one out to it either, I was just saying it wasn't the usual level of output I see from shadman (which is usually immediately repulsive).

I really liked her character and how it remained consistently evil all the way trough.
In fact I loved all the characterization in the series, it was pretty subtle character development where needed without giving "le epic character important episode". It managed be both a classic and modern toon quite well, I'm sad it went without much noise but probably that was for the better.

Villainous does strikes me as a mean spirited WoY which is weird because I like the good intentions WoY had.
