UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME

theguardian.com/politics/2016/sep/14/jeremy-corbyn-to-launch-review-into-universal-basic-income

The absolute madman

Might move to the UK if Corbyn is elected tbh

Universal basic income really isn't a leftist position. It's fairly popular amkng certain subsets of the libertarian community especially transhumanists. It'll probably delay the collapse of capitalism. It's not something I personally advocate for.

You'd rather have inefficient welfare programs that spend more money than UBI would? And it would probably accelerate the collapse seeing that people would no longer be forced to work.

Based Corbyn

UBI eliminates the "muh niggers" argument and gets the middle class more on our side

Not thanks

No thanks*

If Corbyn gets elected i'll move to England

UBI could be a potential disaster.
All i see it doing is creating new class antagonisms.

i'll also move to england for my state appointed gf

Lenin Style Bully Boys is a really great name for just about anything.

you clearly know absolutely nothing about Jeremy Corbyn, please kill yourself

It's a shame he'll never ever be elected (his position on nukes and foreign policy alone are way too unpopular in the UK) and basic income is one of the worst fucking things to suggest to the british public, we're far too ingrained with the "LAZY BENEFITS CHEAT SITS AROUND SMOKING CRACK AND EARNS £500 A WEEK AND LIVES IN £1,000,000 LEFTY GOVERNMENT APPOINTED MANSION" Daily mail style politics

Shame really, he's a great bloke and the best chance for socialism in the UK

fucking communist

This.
Next you know he'll be starting a cult of personality and collecting all our toothbrushes for redistribution.

And you know communism just leads to marxism, which will be even worse.

Pisses me off when the Murdoch press says Corbyn (or anyone else really) is "unelectable".

Unelectable? Nice admission that we don't get any say in it.

Let's start a band. Any of you niggers play instruments?

...

If anything, it would make it far harder for a revolutionary movement to develop. Far less people working => Automation develops => It's in the hands of porky => How the fuck do we agitate a nation of NEETs to rise in arms against capitalism, the same capitalism that now gives them a bunch of shit for free?

UBI is how capitalism will sustain itself during the rest of it's existence.

I play guitar, bass and a bunch of weird instruments

People will actually have time to read Marx and shit

Being unemployed yet simultaneously able to afford plenty of "stuff", is what made me grow dissatisfied with capitalism.

It's a boring atomized existence.

Wall-E capitalism is almost more terrifying than the neoliberal capitalism we have now

THE MEMBERS CORBYN

HAND THEM OVER

Which UK political party flooded the country with uneducated criminally-prone Muslims?

None

all of them
because nobody stopped them or tried to change it
i mean UKIP tried by leaving EU but that only prevents Poles from coming
you can't escape the muzzies now.

#FirstWorldProblems tbh

2 billion people are starving yet you're complaining of being "bored"

next you'll be complaining about not being able to get laid

Not everyone's as pathetic as you.

First world problems are still problems

It's more than just "boredom". Capitalism is constructing panopticon or prison society.
Just because you are unable to see the bars.

Porky will try and keep people distracted with VR.

(Which isn't really VR, it's just sticking a fucking phone to your face)

You can say a lot of things about Jeremy Corbvyn but he consistently opposed the New Labour governments.

UBI is essential in some form or another, unless you're happy with billions of people starving to death in the gutter in the near future. It's necessary regardless of whether the economy is capitalist or socialist.

The people who oppose it generally have no understanding of the technological changes which are going to happen in the next hundred years.

Forget 100 years. It's happening right now.
The gig economy is subsistence living, and once people realise its not enough to sustain a life, including giving the next generation a fighting chance, they'll riot (more).

Everything is gradual. 100 years was a generous estimate of how long it will take before unemployment starts having a death toll of billions. We're already seeing the job market shifting to benefit business owners as more workers compete for the same jobs.

Self-imposed bars.
