That sounds like fun, I'd do it

Weak!

Damn gringos, they're weird

Gay af tbh

why does reddit do this?

Isn't saying "sir" to a fireman or police officer pretty common in america though? Like a deference of authority or a sign of respect?
Saying sir to a normal person is a bit weird, but it seems a little less weird to say it about a fireman.

It's weird and bootlickery either way but at least it's not special to reddit.

Ugh, yeah. They get super asshurt if you don't at least call them "officer."

The correct form of address for a police offer is fascist pig.

Course, our police don't have guns.

firemen are legit.

Shame they have so many capitalist fires to put out

That's as may be but I still don't think we should call them Sir

Americans are incapable of being critical about soldiers, police, etc

I don't call anyone sir. It makes me really uncomfortable when people call me sir also.

Why must Holla Forums hate everything that is good and decent?

woo

That's clearly a fireman

It's just the edgy anarchists TBH. Bourgeois police should be opposed because it is one of the main vanguards of the upper class's rule in society. Trashing on public servants just for the heck of it is pointless and childish and fails to see them just as subjected to material forces as anyone else.

I don't see anyone hating firemen just questioning the American worship

I have a friend that calls everyone sir.
I tell him straight up knock that shit off, its awkward as fuck. Its like when adults use the word daddy.

Sir doesn't mean you think someone's better than you. It's a sign of respect. Respect != superiority
