If she keeps vandalizing private property, maybe she could get enough publicity to end up on the debate stage.

I am convinced that I am at least partially still alive because I know if I live long enough I will hopefully no longer see unfunny boomer comments that are trying to be clever but say nothing more than 'I disapprove of [overly specific thing] and that's supposed to mean something'
I really dislike her VP pick.
I don't dislike her, I just don't see the revolutionary potential.
Why?
Baraka described the vigil for the victims of the Charlie Hebdo shooting as a "white power march" and Je suis Charlie as an "arrogant rallying cry for white supremacy" because of France's colonial history, the caricature at issue, French support for American policy in Syria and Libya, and the disproportionate interest in this particular act of war.
In January 2016, Baraka's "Je suis Charlie" article was republished in an anthology about the November 2015 Paris attacks, ANOTHER French False Flag? Bloody Tracks from Paris to San Bernadino, edited by Kevin Barrett, a Holocaust denier and 9/11 conspiracy theorist. Baraka also has appeared at least twice on Barrett's radio show. Other contributors to the anthology (including controversial figures such as Gilad Atzmon and Alain Soral) posited "that the Charlie Hebdo attacks and many others were perpetrated by the CIA and Mossad" as "false flags."

How can someone 66 years old be so qt?
Uhh… Source?
oh wow she's 66?
you could give this picture that pepe hand and she'd look even more smug
It's because of how healthy she lives. I wouldn't be surprised if she surpasses the age of 100 with how she lives. Well that is unless she gets cancer and tries to treat it with homeopathy…
Why might she do that? You realize she's a published PhD right?
No joke. My mom and grandmother are both really good looking for their age because they've always moved and exercised a lot, ate healthy and varied and generally have a really good living hygiene.
Hopefully after they ship her to Siberia, she'll come back even more radical than before.
Isnt she a vegan anti-vaxer tree fucker?
A league above the rest of American politicians, but still not what I would call based.
Not really an anti-vaxxer. She just doesnt trust porky to say vaccines they make fresh and new not well tested are safe so she wants a board of health to do safety measures to increase vaccination turnout by people who are untrusting of it. So she's actually pro vaccination.
Whats wrong with holocaust revisionism and the 9/11 truth movement, user-kun?
much love for you comrade
Tell me more…
She's really dumb about some things though. IIRC the anti-vax thing really was a position of hers until she learned better. Absolutely no bullshit though, she has concerns that WiFi causes cancer.
It's wrong.
No it wasn't.
you're an idiot user, i've read about this in some detail and the truth is that there's a big question mark with all this new technology. and, yeah, the vaccine schedule is fucked.
They're factually incorrect, based on flawed self-serving premises, and distract from real issues.
Fucking what? If wi-fi could cause cancer, we'd be astronomically fucked from all kinds of much stronger background light waves. It's far too low-frequency and low-amplitude to be biologically harmful.
Holy crap. She was right again fuck. I need to figure out a way to switch back to a land line.
I think Stein is loony af and wouldn't vote for any Green candidate in a million years but even I can recognize this individual as thoroughly cucked.
What's so loony about her?
I thought it was just the laptop heat that made your balls less fertile. Somewhat alarming.
I can't believe on leftypol is supporting them because they added some half-assed "anti- capitalist" section. Now they're just garden variety soc-dems instead of liberals. I expect the same betrayal is the other green parties (who had more left-wing platforms then our green party to start) when every they gain any kind of power.
Germany's green party is pretty right wing apparently. The Green Party in the US is pretty much the only party here that is actually to a bit left with decent support. If a green party candidate won it would open up the possibility of more awareness and hope for other parties even further left.
And then it will be time to switch to a different party. Until that time comes however, the Greens are the hope for an American Left.
They were teeming with real socialists at the Houston convention who were adamant about pushing the party even further to the left. It's more than nice words.
...
Now they are. That's the point. Basically every branch of the green party that gains mainstream acceptance goes full porky and they all start with the same populist appeal. I'm not going to hold my breath for the American green party to be any different.
That wouldn't be hard. They aren;t very far to the left right now. Like I said the international greens started further to the left then the American green party is now.
The fact that socdems aren't anti-capitalists was the point. Are you completely fucking retarded? Actually read post before you post stale memes.
Is she /our girl/?
All right user. Which political party are you supporting?
...
At the Presidential Nominating Convention in a room full of ~400 delegates they described the anti-capitalist platform amendment as something that was both "long overdue" and "one of the most important changes ever made to the party" to a room full of applause. The amendment was itself written by the editor for Richard Wolff's Democracy at Work book. That very person is now a major instrument of the Jill Stein campaign. The convention had people from all sorts of labor unions, Workers' Militant, Socialist Alternative, some Trot organization I forget the name of, and even some of those crazy RevComs. One of the presidential nominees was a staunch socialist herself (although was also a trouble-making bipolar baby unfortunately). The Socialist Caucus, which was newly formed at that convention itself, had a greater number of people within it than any other caucus. At no time over the course of the 4-day convention did I come across a single confused social democrat who didn't know what the actual definition of socialism was.
They mean business when they want to become an eco-socialist party. Why do you doubt their resolve?
Bourgeoisie democracy is pretty controlled at this point. Any kind of political party will bend to the neoliberal status quo. Even actually leftists parties like Syriza bend over when the capitalists ask them too. This reformist bullshit thats been going on here is just delusional.
Anti-capitalist was in quotation marks you moron. I also used the term "half-assed" to describe their platform. Is in I didn't think they're platform was very left wing or anti-capitalist. What the hell is wrong with you? Just fucking stop. It's pathetic.
Perhaps something that will make this Green party's growth different from other ones in the past is the release of this influential book earlier this year. It basically enumerates how the environmental movement has always been a step behind saving anything–there's always something else new on the horizon shitting things up while people are busy trying to deal with a slightly older issue. The conclusion is that this is because of capitalism itself and the only way to truly protect a sustainable environment is to get rid of capitalism already.
Why attempt to changes things with the electoral system in the mean time? When it fails as you are so sure it will, won't that just harden people's resolve for violent revolution? When it becomes so abundantly clear to people that nothing can be accomplished through our corrupt farce of a democracy, they'll have the determination to kill all capitalists like you desire.
1. The Greens are explicitly anti-capitalist.
2. SocDems are explicitly capitalist.
yes and I was saying I think they're full of shit and at most they're soc-dems not even democratic socialists. Everyone else seems to get that. I don't know why you don't.
That's a way of looking it the situation but it's a futile effort. Definitely not with the lot we've got. It's not like Jill Stein is Eugene V Debs or even Huey Long. Their platform isn't even compelling. I barely find any anti-capitalists polices in their platform besides some vague shit about workers being able to vote for Representative along side board members and the usual crap about labor unions. Their anti-nuclear power. There social platform is filled with idpol crap like forced quotas for elected officials and reparations. This board has seriously gone down hell if people think that the green party has a super compelling platform that's worth giving a crap about.
Was this post directed towards me? I have absolutely no respect for any of the groups you've mentioned in your post. Especially not socialist alternative.
Kek
That would explain why the part of the Green party platform is explicitly anti-capitalist, promising to support democratic run workplaces.
No it's the same stance. I've had since I've began. Hence the quotation marks in the first quote. You're completely incapable of coming up with a coherent argument. You're lack of reading comprehension doesn't change my original argument. You're arguing against a strawman you created from a misunderstanding of my original post. It's not my fault you don't know what quotation marks mean.
