That implies a level of skill in something that I may not have or don't have the ability to concentrate in order to develop it. I used to be a really good programmer, enough to be able to help my classmates. I had a breakdown in the last year and almost got expelled and now am just trying to get by on a substitute teacher's license, studying for a CCNA, overqualified for practically all entry level jobs.

The problem is, saying things like "take control of your life," "do your life, don't let your life do you," is the sort of bullshit that enrages me because shit happens and I fall apart. I try to study, then I get distracted, depressed and fap to girls on the internet.

The point is, there are no meaningful, easily attainable jobs THAT CAN SUPPORT A MODEST LIFESTYLE in the United States anymore. That's why Donald Trump is so popular with working people. I want to know what you propose that could get people to support that in the immediate sense. I could make a portfolio of JavaScript and Python projects on GitHub, though that neither guarantees me a job, nor am I certain I will complete it through my persistent lack of motivation.
