That was it, wasn't it? The series got canned so fast Jack wasn't allowed to write a proper wrap-up.
I remember an old issue of Hercules Unbound, it was Walt Simonson inked by Wally Wood, the Atomic Knights, the ones who rode Dalmations, showed up, along with one of those blocks of compressed ocean that Dr. Scuba made. Hercules released the ocean by punching it, like a bad mother.
John Byrne's OMAC series tried to give it a real ending, but I don't think many fans had read the original by then.
Superboy One Million had the OMAC mohawk, lol.

We do not speak of John Byrne's OMAC. Byrne took everything Kirby did and shoved it in the toilet like the talentless coat-tail rider he is. He turned OMAC into a time-traveling Terminator rip-off with none of the nuances of Kirby.

In light of the fact that Kirby's original OMAC run was never finished and that other people picking up the IP have successfully managed to stray further and further from Kirby's vision, it took two fans of him (David Morris and Dek Baker) to make a, if not fitting, an adequate enough send-off to the character back in 2002.
