Batman's Contingencies

Has DC ever alluded to what Batman's contingency plan is for The Spectre going going rogue?

Didn't this happened once during Blackest Night?

It happened within 2 years of his debut. He started taking orders from a guy who casually broke 9/10 commandments and broke a direct, public, oath to God (That this is a good way to get smote is one of the few things the Bible is 100% consistent on).

They never tell you any of his plans, but you would assume he'd have one for such a powerful creature.
The Spectre can be harmed by magic or if he uses too much power quickly, so Batman could draw that out of him somehow.

Also, The Spectre can't break Divine Law, while Batman can, so for starters, there's little chance of him going rogue unless God goes evil, and Batman can just force The Spectre into a situation where he can't act or he'll break Divine Law.

Didn't the whole "Batman has contingency plans for the league going rogue" debut by showing them in action (because a bad guy stole them)?

Yes, but they don't tell you each individual plan, only the big ones.

Then the correct sentence is "They never tell you most of his plans"

That is actually a good question.
How would someone deal with an incorporeal threat?
How would one deal with Deadman or Spectre in a combat situation. Hawkman has an actual ghost in his rogues gallery and he manages just fine.

Kick him in the face

Funny thing about the Spectre…for a guy who is basically near God tier, he's usually the easiest guy to take out. Heck, one story had him being imprisoned as a planet.

One known weakness would be the Spear of Destiny, but the last time that was used against the Spectre he just bitch-slapped the person using it (Superman, on orders from the government) and threw the Spear into space.

The real answer to your question would probably be No though, simply because most writers nowadays nerf the Spectre anyway when they bother to even use him.

Not sure

In the aftermath of Day of Vengeance Batman confronts Spectre. It's basically shown that Batman is completely impotent against him.

probably asking some incredibly high level mages to inform God that his agent on earth rebeled

please note that this can incredibly backfire.
also spectre needs a host in mortal realm, right? there should be some way to kill him or separate them

Good to know but does that apply to the new community.

I understand that the Batman of that period is pretty much intact. As for Spectre, I don't even know if he's appeared since Rebirth, but I was under the impression that Convergence and Rebirth restored pre-Flashpoint characters and continuity that the New 52 fucked up. I don't know.

Does Batman have contingency plans to stop himself in case he goes crazy or develops a split personality?

batfamily

Yes.

...

His contingency against himself is other Leaguers/Batman Family. In terms of split personality, he programmed a backup personality as Zur En Arrh, he's pretty in control of his mind.

You would be correct in most of that. Most of the pre-Flashpoint timeline has been restored.

Not a fan of the first couple of arcs of Tom King's Batman, JRJR, new Green Lanterns or the concept of Super Sons. Is there anything new of substance worth reading? Considering picking up Action Comics because I kinda like Jurgens.

He's just gonna assault him with legions of faggots and blast gay club music

The real way to defeat The Spectre is to set up a superhero-themed restaurant and name a really crap dish the "Spectre Platter".

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps is good, so is the Flash, and anything Superman related. Aquaman also isn't bad.

Avoid Batgirl, regardless if you liked her in the past. It'll only disgust and ruin her for ya.

That could technically work. Like when he colored an entire room and himself yellow to fight Hal.

I hope Batman gets bullied about that shit at every JL Christmas party.

That's in the Frank Miller-verse. I don't think he really did much with the league there.

Why do you hate fun user?

Bat Mite could probably separate the Spectre from his host like how Mr. Mxyzptlk did in the Injustice universe.

Please tell me he said No

That wasn't Batman, that was psychotic multi-verse Bruce Wayne

Literally pray to God, is there any other option?

Explain, for those of us who aren't historians?

You don't need to be a historian to know the president takes an oath to protect and defend the Constitution to the best of their abilities. FDR worked very hard to actively undermine the supreme law of the United States.

He also imprisoned US citizens and stole their property by executive order justifying it by false accusations of treason, favored his mistress over his wife to the point the Secret Service had a dedicated codename for her (documents confirming it were declassified a few years ago, and it was an open secret before then), appointed a literal, actual, official KKK member to the Supreme Court and then to Chief Justice (pic related), had a disasterous economic policy that somehow thought burning crops in the dust bowl was a good idea (even his own Treasury secretary flat out stated the New Deal was nothing but a debt factory in private) and didn't actually have anything to do with World War 2 except letting the generals do their job. There's no evidence he disrespected his parents, so he doesn't have a perfect 10.

oh, sure. he was going to use that anti-darkseid gun to kill the christian god, thus neutralizing the source of the spectre's powers.

he also started a war with those nice axis fellows for literally no reason

Which laws/commandments does that break?

Obama would be fine electing black pride judges, why not a white pride judge?

That's not Batman who did that…that was Booster Gold. Yes, the restaurant was made and run by Booster Gold.

Doesnt mean he can't do it.

...

The bat computer was told to create 4 contingencies for it.
Batman doesn't know what they are and can't access them
Robin and Alfred can

Expanded government over oath of office to God
As above
Worked on sunday
Only one he didn't break
Plenty died in the horrible conditions of his camps (was foreseeable given some were in the middle of a desert or swampland.)
Did so so blatantly the mistress had her own Secret Service code word
Siezed property as part of his camps
Knew the accusations he made were baseless
See steal

And that's just the obvious answers.

… that's not a bad answer

lol, none of that shit makes sense

The correct translation is thou shall not murder
