just look at the last two election cycles. obama won pretty heavily in 2008 (largest margin since the 1960s) as well as 2012. you can attribute that to mccain and romney's failure to court minority voters (whereas even dubya won 44% of the latino vote). shouldnt republicans have realized that they need to "switch paradigms" and stop pissing off mexicans and black people? lol nah, they went ahead and nominated trump - literally the exact opposite of what they should have done if they wanted to have a realistic shot of winning
