There was a thread over on Holla Forums talking about how conditions were for employees of Yahoo!
The environment was all male, and they had BYOB every friday, a day for casual wear, they would hook up those usb dart launchers to shoot into other cubicles and would even have dog fights with rc dirigibles, they would have secret santa and get each other gifts for the christmas parties, and productivity was through the roof.
Then they got big enough and had to start hiring women, which meant hiring a human resources manager. Whenever the guys would goof off for a moment, the women would always go straight to HR and complain, until all the fun shit they used to do stopped completely. No more casual wear, or cubicle battles, or rc dog fights, or BYOB, or christmas parties, etc.
Sure enough, morale died as did productivity, since nobody was having fun and it was like any other shitty 9-5 job. Recently a former employee of Yahoo even spoke out against the female CEO who would have "performance exams", all employees had to take them and only the men ever did poorly, but there was no transparency about how they were being judged to have such poor performance compared to the women.
It never fucking fails.

Artists should at least aim more for a philosophical outlook instead of a political one if they're going to do a social commentary unless its a short term event (an election, a riot) instead of long term (socialism, patriarchy). It's broader and it ages much better than interrupting the story to push an agenda. Also social commentary that ask a question to a viewer or showing consequences is much stronger than enforcing a political agenda where the opposition are strawmen because you're subconsiously insecure of your outlook to look at the other side's reasoning.
