We can't. We can strive to change the material conditions hopefully lessening the boot-worship, while constantly being attacked by the bootlickers, but hopefully achieving in the end less fertile grounds for the licking of boots.
Boots and tongues go hand in hand, but despairing tongues and those wrought in material agony might engage in more fervent bootlicking than others.
The solution is to lessen the despair. (and prepare yourself for self-defense against the borg of bootlickers united, as they rise up to defend the empire of their masters)

These faggots don't understand the difference between combat training and sport training, someone trained for tactical operations with the myriad of skills required isn't going to beat someone trained to swim fast and only to swim fast in a race.

Well it's kind of logical. A strong "true blue" police union (but on the side of the establishment power, protecting their interests), same with the military… providing benefits for everyday living that should be provided for everyone, but is kept from you until/unless you join the forces defending the power structure as it is.
Universal healthcare? Join the "militant" factions defending the capitalist state, it will be provided.
Universal education and support? Same shit.
The policies we established kept you poor and unable to engage in the economy, and the benefits you need aren't available to you? Join the police! Join the military! Etc.
That you on top of that, have a hero worship of it being set in stone by the capitalist media, as they are essentially the warbands defending their interests, makes sense.
In other nations with less such extreme material differences and really, psychopathic abusive manipulation, you have a notion of a "police force" of the people, and you even still have in some countries an idea of an actual military acting solely as a self-defensive community "military" force.
In the US? Non-existant. Maybe in some small village like town, somewhere. Some local sheriff or some shit.

Once someone has actually been fully engulfed by the military and do take back their will after signing it off to the command, you'll typically find them in the anti-war movements. Sadly infested by capitalist propaganda, but still, their motives and resolve are good. Just confused.
But, just so it's said, the brainwashing is real. There are people in the "ranks" of the police and the ranks of the military that are completely invested in their slave-like positions and completely set on defending the establishment regardless.
It's kind of like talking to an an-cap. It's all faith and ignorance of history. It's again rooted in the whole "this is my security, this is my home, I must defend it" mentality, witholding aid and support from someone unless they play along… like a guard to a prisoner.
It's hard to talk to a prisoner who's bought into the rhetoric of the guard. Trying to explain why, when they say, it's "your fault!" for them not having food for the day, it really is all the fault of the guard… not whatever conditions they set down for the 'game to reach the food' like a rat in a cage, for the prisoner.
What I'm trying to say is that it's complicated.
They're not all sockpuppets. And some of those people who are completely retarded, aren't necessarily bad people. Just ridiculously confused.

It's that way in Israel as well. The police are considered to be incompetent buffoons (which they are) but the military is worshipped. It's the only actual meaningful content that exists for Israeli nationalism. And it's really toxic, like you can't be a part of civil society unless first serving in the military, politicians always comparing their own military record to other politicians to prove their competence and so on. It's even to the degree where people are willing to sacrifice the lives of Israeli civilians to protect Israeli soldiers' lives, even though it should be the opposite because that's kind of the job of soldiers. Soldiers' lives are considered just that much more precious than anybody else's.
