Well considering that Islamic terror against the West emerged entirely out of the Israel Palestine conflict and Soviet Afghan War I would say that the rise of Islamism and Jihadist terror is fuelled by imperialism.

ISIS exists because of a concerted effort by the Western powers to stamp out any trace of secularism in the Middle East out of a strident, irrational fear of Communism, and because of the colossal incompetence of the Bush administration in keeping conquered Iraq together.
Widespread alienation caused by the capitalist mode of production together with disruptions of livelihood caused by outside forces together form fertile ground for the longing for an idealized past that never existed (something Islamic fundamentalists have in common with Holla Forums). This mindset was taken advantage of by opportunistic demagogues who were able to maneuver themselves into positions of prominence in large part due to American incompetence and the Greatest Ally Saudi Arabia's exporting of their retarded sect to every corner of the Earth where more than three brown people congregate. If a strong state existed as in Western Europe, they would have had no power, and conversely, if states in Europe were also weak then white stormniggers would be pulling the same kind of shit there.
As it happens, these circumstances together with the sheer dumb luck of being able to capture immense quantities of the retreating Iraqi army's weapons and materiel allowed ISIS to rise to its current position. All the same, you'd have to be retarded to think that ISIS has a rat's ass of a chance of expanding outside of the Middle East American Fuckup Zone. The mass murderers in Europe and America that idiots like you associate with ISIS have more in common with Harris and Klebold, in that they are alienated young men seeking lionization in death and murder. ISIS just came in after the fact to claim credit so retards like you would think they're these nefarious masterminds and not just another particularly well-off militia of goatfucking Arab hicks.
Even if they against all odds managed to stabilize, form a Caliphate and not immediately implode, I guarantee you that their leaders would drop the us against the world philosophy in practice as soon as it stops being useful to their immediate material interests, just so they can get fat and rich as masters of a legitimate state.
