The come from there, cause they don't want to accept communism is the only solution but can see capitalism is shit.
It's Weimar Republic all over again.

The TV series Deutschland 83 has a better portrayal of the Stasi since Deutschland 83 shows the Stasi reacting to NATO and thus shows the Stasi's logic.

Interesting.

It was paradise.

great show

any good torrents?

nm

It was an impoverished, police state, authoritarian shithole.
Yet western leftist children are delusional enough to think that living there and not wanting to return to an authoritarian shithole makes someone a "le spooky reactionary".
Why does LeftyPol and the modern Left refuse to aknowledge how shit the Soviet Union was and how miserable its citizens were?
I don't give a shit about hearing your pathetic "it's western imperialism/propoganda" excuses.

...

"greater german" unity of course would get the rats crawling out
they've been suppressed and jailed, the poor baby "opposition"
of course the CDU send money too paying thugs to attack leftists before the elections

the idea that there are less reactionaries in the west is a lie
in west germany they're just rather organized in the establishment, such as CDU/CSU, while in the east they couldn't fill into the role to absorb all of these, leaving them to more radicalized fascist organisations
on top, condescending west german neoliberals are driving them even further to the right as it per usual is trash talking the victims of the reactionary annexation that went over and against the will of the people that for the most actually wanted a reform of the existing socialist system or had other delusions like a fusion on eye to eye level, dismissing them as "losers". this is how they see the new western left, while the "party of democratic socialism" that merged with a western trotskyte smaller party has very much disappointed them even further as it is now in coalition with the social democrats pushing antisocial legislations

East Germany holds higher HDI than US today does. West is shit.

It was a developing country and it is not like the party wanted stagnation, if you look at the later party congresses you can see the party is aware they are falling behind but has no clear path forward. Back during the long boom it actually did look like the Comecon could simply grow into communism via rapidly expanding industry.

Gee whiz

I know plenty of people from DDR and USSR who say it was great. Free healthcare, free education, free public transport (basically 5 cents a ticket,) and various basic needs subsidized or free. And don't get me started on how everyone had a 100% chance of a job and living under a roof instead of under a bridge. Then when they were """""liberated""""" they were looking at the face of starvation.

Kill yourself faggot, go talk to some actual people who lived there and not propaganda.

welt.de/politik/article4003936/Die-Haelfte-der-Ostdeutschen-findet-die-DDR-gut.html

half of eastern germans say the GDR had more positive then negative things about it
another 8 % said life was happier

and what about the half who said the GDR had more negatives than positives? or the 92% who said like is happier now? bourgeosie shills i presume

Well, of course the people that were ready to shoot other human beings for crossing the border are praising the system.

It was pretty shitty, they never really recovered from WWII. Tankies like to point to the shit countries that vastly improved under Communist rule like Russia and Romania, but countries that were already industrialized like East Germany and Hungary largely just stagnated. By the 80s it was little more than a source of cheap labor for West Germany, if it stuck around it would probably be a closer China.

Reactionaries come from there because East Germany is still shitty, shittier in some respects, under Capitalism. The biggest reactionary movement in Germany is Third Way/Strasserism which is anti-Capitalist.

You mean, half of those that remained there, those that didn't cross to Western Germany the moment the wall came down.

...

its been 25+ years now they have started massive propaganda against it

and it's still a massive majority that has a positive view on it, it's mostly people who never experienced the GDR which answer negatively

Plenty of people say it sucked too, there were constant consumer goods shortages, food was almost always available so its not like everyone was starving, but it could literally take years to get a replacement part for your car. Not to mention the psychotic governments you always had to look out for, and the almost American levels of retarded mandatory patriotic shit.

...

Did you also talk to the people that worked in the East German uranium mines without being told that they were mining radioactive material? What is there opinion on this matter?

Oh wait, there are all dead now.

It's like the only remaining people that speak highly of the GDR were in some way complicit in supporting this inhumane system and haven't already fucked off when they chance.

...

Have you talked to farmers in India fucked by capitalism?

Why should I? I'm not defending capitalism.

Why did they need to cross the wall anyway? People had jobs and houses and a stable living. They weren't going to rush across to the other side when there is still unemployment over there and probably not enough people to house them. The two countries were to become one anyway, and then the people in the former GDR lost their jobs and shit to make everything more "efficient."

I'm not denying there is some things that sucked.
Probably because the Warsaw pact had to put more effort of producing weaponry and stuff in a middle of a war. If it wasn't for the war then yeah you might have a point.
same as above, but public transport was basically free but whatever.
as long as you weren't trying to escape though the border or do some criminal shit, you were fine.
yeah i agree it was pretty shit but it was in a war

Have you spoken to all those poor third world workers that get fucked on a daily basis who produce all our consumer goods for pennies? No, probably because they killed themselves or died from overworking and/or a lack of basic needs taken care of.

It's possible to oppose two inhumne systems at once, you know.

Because they were living in a fucking police state?

but the wall collapsed and the "police state" disappeared?

and yes you can oppose two states but if i'm correct you said it was impoverished which is bullshit

Yeah but better shoot these traitors. They never knew how good they had it. They should've gotten the young families with their children that hopped over the fence of the embassy in Prague , too!

They are edgy kids.
Politically Warsaw Pact countries were authoritarian/totalitarian shitholes.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novocherkassk_massacre This is all you need to know about Really Existing {{{Socialism}}} – workers strike in a glorious workers paradise, because >poor working conditions in the factory
result: get shot by the fucking army, dead bodies secretly buried in the cemeteries of other towns
Compare that with
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._postal_strike_of_1970 – workers strike in bourgious white supremacy ebil racizd capitalist imperialist USA, result: The strike ended after eight days with not a single worker being fired, as the Nixon administration continued to negotiate with postal union leaders.
Economically they were bad, but not that bad. The problem was that after WWII they all liberalized their economies (because war-like central-planning/command economy couldn't handle late stage capitalism consumer society) and they ended up in a stupid situation where they introduced some market elements and they had individual firms pulling trying to pool more resources from the center while success measure being stupid stuff like quantity, or they let individual firms to fail and then bail them out and so on. Because of that there were chronic deficits, shortages and queues. But at the same time workers while suffering as consumers had superb conditions as producers with paid leaves, maternity leaves, sanatoriums, healthcare, education, housing etc.
The problem is obviously that later, elements of nomenklatura, criminals and managers ('red directors') pushed for more privatisation and became a new thug ruling class supervising stealing of the public property while causing massive human losses, e.g. in 1989 14 million people living in poverty in EE and European part of the USSR, 160 million in 2002, characterized by UN poverty report as the biggest attack on the 'middle class' in the human history (ironically caused by capitalism).

>>>Holla Forums

stopped there confirmed for not knowing shit

Wtf? Source on that?

There were some large far right protests using Useful Idiotist imagery lately, so I'm guessing user is going by that. In reality, it's probably just that they'll be beaten and arrested if they don the swastika.

i'd prefer it to be str@$$3rists but most of them are just regular nazis who dont want to get arrested for waving a hakenkruez flag :(

The essence of anti-Soviet attitudes.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Well, since anons here mostly have Western propaganda to go by, here is a bit of Eastern.
