This seems to be true in Europe as well, in general. The UK, Netherlands, Scandinavia, and Germany all import tons of immigrants, and they all speak English (to some degree). When I visited London, I was horrified at the number of nonwhites. There were a dozen desks at immigration, but maybe three or four were staffed by white people. Every time I saw an African or a woman in hijab, I died a little. There are tales of tourists in Germany trying to practice their German, but the natives will respond in English.

In comparison, Southern Europeans don't like immigrants nearly as much, and they don't speak English. It's much more difficult to travel in Southern Europe speaking only English. When I visited Italy and Portugal, we needed to use Spanish as an intermediary.

People are getting defensive about the English language but the problem is not the language itself, it's that ideas (memes) are much more easily spread within a language and rarely translate well to others. This is an idea worth consideration. Anti-white, pro-refugee propaganda can spread quite easily among the West but would have trouble gaining traction in Japan, not least of all because they wouldn't know what the fuck it said.

My own country's media demands that I love niggers, illegal Mexicans and Muslim terrorists. It's becoming more common to see shows where the only White men are fags, and the blonde and ginger women are fucking niggers. English is not a trojan horse, it is only that in the island of Japan people crave for American freedom-of-living, and they escape consuming media, or reading other placeswithout the face saving control. Also, english is the human language of the internet and programming. Coding in moonrunes might be nightmarish.

English is a nice proxy language because it is compact and has 'simple' grammatical conjugations, semantics, speech and word construction (russian or japanese switch parts around). Accents, intonation and fluency are problems only at the conversational level, but for written mode english is easily parseable.

Spanish (et. al.) is complicated because there are too many words, some are locally invented, dialects or locally warped. Worst is latin american spanish, (because some groups will define themselves belonging to a certain wealth class or place using certain speech patterns based on the same base spanish language). At least some rules apply along romance languages (similar as germanic languages share some around). Nightmare mode comes when people use different alphabets, worst when each character means anything else new, or don´t (like african languages, missing concepts and ideas) or the writing order is backwards (right to left: arabic, persian languages).

In tourist settings it is ok to express words wrong (most of the time locals will value the effort, like speaking broken spanish in France while being american, instead of no-french, worst is english), but in Japan you better speak fluent english or qtjaps will 'bully' you (because a grown man talking in baby neutral japanese is hilarious and less interesting). Why? Because an english speaking foreigner has gaijin powers and implies a wealthy escape from normal life.
