Last time in this great work by Marvel, America recived a pep talk by Storm and some shit I can't be arsed to look up happened. I think her ex-girlfriend got kidnapped by her stalker fan club who wanted her to fight some monster she'd fought in issue 1? Then her university friends showed up in a stolen inter-dimensional drop-ship?

More important than that though, we start this issue off with America's Mums being Magic Spanish Lesbians. No, I'm not sure what that has to do with anything either.

Back in the present, America, her fan club and her other fan club prepare to face off against some giant pink thing from the first issue!

America is about to one shot the monster back out of the story again with her unstoppable inter-dimensional teleportation punch when she realises something. She's already tried that! However will she fight this thing without simply one-shotting it?

It looks like our hispanic hero needs some time to think up a new strategy and the monster isn't interested in giving it time as it keeps on growing bigger(?)! Luckily Cat-Stalker has a boombox which reeees at the creature!

With that having happened, America teleports into the past so she can stop her past self from punching the thing in the first place and thus preventing her stalker from getting upset with her for not being perfect!

In inter-dimensional space Chavez has time to reflect on how the random cameos she's had recently have trained her to become an even better super-hero.

Finally, she arrives a week ago to give us the moment we've all been waiting for our entire lives. There's now two Americas! Hurrah!

As past-America snarks, present-America puts her plan into action! She's going to push the past-monster into a holding cell in the present so it can't escape from wherever she originally punched it so it could make her fan club upset with her! Apparently this gets rid of the present-monster while not changing anything else about the present, including the locations of her uni friends or the state of her stalkers local area. The fan-club leader is happy with her now though so I guess she isn't a fake after all.

Anyway, everyone starts packing up ready to leave and America calls her ex-girlfriend out for being fake kidnapped. Apparently she only did this though because America wasn't responding to her texts for America to help the Guerillas fight the monster so all is forgiven.

Anyway, with all the problems resolved and five pages still left to go we're introduced to a mysterious magic PoC lady! This one claims to know America and her parents as well as have magic inter-dimensional portal powers just like America!

Our mysterious new character named Madrimar opens convenient portals for America's friends to leave by and was apparently the reason the Chavez Guerillas were able to find America's ex! She's also apparently the reason behind the random cameos in the previous issues and claims to be related to both of her mothers! How does America react to this mysterious lady trying to talk to her?

She fucks right off of course. This way Madrimar can be cryptic for a while longer and we can link up to the first couple of pages in the comic by having America as a kid on a hover tricycle.

And here we have the letters pages. Feel free to look at the concept art for Madrimar while you're at it. My favourite one is the one where she looks like she's wearing her bath robe, I feel the last five pages would have been greatly improved if it had been implied she was just some crazy old lady who's just had a bath.

These last two chapters were just mediocre. The first issue of America alone was more offensive than the entire Hellcat run and worse than anything I've read combined.
Its difficult to say which series is worse: America has slightly better art and has more stuff going than Hellcat which was about nothing but the boring life ot Kate Leth, at least America TRIES to be a superhero comic. On the other hand, its also a disjointed mess. Her powers are so poorly defined and its impossible to tell what her weaknesses are. And we don't need to say that is just as self-righteous and prone to lecturing than the previous comic.

She has to go back.

First, why did America have to go to the past if there was a way to capture that thing in the present? Could'nt she just capture it in the present?
And if she did actually changed something in the past wouldn't that affect the present or something?
if the girls had a weapon to fight the creature, why didn't they use it first instead of getting their asses kicked? Where did she get the weapon? How did she know it was going to work?
The onlywhitepersoninthecomic said she send messages to America. But it is stated that the college is in a different dimension like in "between dimensions", how do you send messages to a different dimension? Couldn't America just say "I live in other dimension now, your phone service doesn't have coverture there"?
If the girls could hack anything why didn't they hack a message to America? Why did they need to fake a kidnapping?
Wasn't one of the girls about to die or something?
If that old witch so powerful why didn't she help the girls before all this mess happened?

Clearly you dont understand what the writer is trying to comunicate here, all that drama is to teach america a lesson and make her grow as a character. I dont know why though, she is literary perfect.

America is completely incomprehensible. The story makes absolutely zero sense and it's even hard to figure out what's happening from page to page. The writing, the art, all of it incoherent and amateurish. Lethcat was shit because it was Kate using the book to live her own boring life in the MU. The plots might have been bad and conflict non-existant but at least you could (mostly) follow what was happening. America, though, makes no sense at all. It's a series of words and pictures haphazardly arranged to present something that tries to look like a story but instead reads like R'lyehian in comic book form as your mind cannot comprehend it and to attempt to invites only madness.

There is a continuity error in within the first page and a half; this error is so bad it means the first appearance of the protagonist's "parents" has them being depicted incorrectly.

Honestly, it was so shamefully obvious it was kind of cute. All in all, the entire Hellcat story (Kate's spergy temper tantrums, Hellcat's obvious self insertion and diversity inserts) was a harmless and quite adorable roller-coaster. If there was one saga I wish we could continue it would be Hellcat. As far as America Chavez and Squirrel Girl, there really isn't anything redeemable.

5th image, what is the point of the frame-like cropping of the first panel? It doesn't serve any storytelling purpose, when the Bronze Age masters, like Howard Chaykin or Walt Simonson divided up a shot like that it was to denote time passing through a single area. I was looking at this the other day. America #2 was at around 23k the month before and 43k for it's #1 issue. Considering how much the media has decided to start talking about America Chavez lately, I can only assumed #4 sold like ass and it's probably in the 10k or lower range, making Marvel panic.

Wait a cotton-picking minute. Number fucking TWENTY? Last time I checked they were rebooting the shitpile series with another #1 and were on the verge of being shitcanned (again). Did they churn out three dozen numbers while I wasn't looking?

I wonder what's happened recently, yeah. Moon Girl's sales have almost doubled; last I'd checked she was surfing around 8,000. Makes me wonder if the SJWs are actually bothering to buy?

So how many issues does a GOOD comic sell anyway? And what is the right drop of units sold as time passes?

The top comics on the list are averaging around 100,000 in sales right now. The best comics of around a decade ago would get almost 200,000 in sales.
Hellcat's 2nd to last issue was 7,232 sales. I think this was about when it got cancelled, maybe slightly after.
Mockingbird's 2nd to last issue was 14,751 sales, which was slightly before it got cancelled.
Starfire's 2nd to last issue was 20,131 sales.

Moon Girl is hard to compare to most other comics because the bulk of the sales is apparently coming from scholastic book faires. It's a form of direct marketing that is lower risk and easier to pull off than selling in bulk to comic shops, essentially. If it were on equal footing with every other comic, being sold the same way they sell everything else, Moon Girl wouldn't even break the top 100.

Who would do that to children? Subject them to moon girl, there should be a law!

Hellcat was just a mild self-insert comic that belongs on tumblr. Most people here are used to that. Art oscillates between kind of bad and very bad.
America is also a self insert tumblr comic, but it is much more in your face with all the ideology. You have whole pages dedicated to praising brown characters, bashing white men, and incomprehensible retardation. Say what you want, but Hellcat didn't feature half-page monologues on how amazing lesbians are and had Hitler randomly standing in the middle of a battlefield just so America can punch him. America tells Kate about her mysterious stalker before getting on to the important stuff: Her sex life. Rather specifically an old flame has been giving America signals that she wans to get back together. Said signals also include the words "No Star Portals. I'm being watched." but that's hardly important. What is important is that America drags her adult friend on an impromptu road-trip just so she can get some nostalgic tail. Not that Kate seems at all bothered. I guess either she's rich or business must be really slow.

How can America have and ex she's know since a kid if she didn't come to this universe till she was around her current age?

Mid-way through a sing-along a mysterious biker and a couple of black helicopters start tailing our girls. The biker is quickly identified as Magdalena, as she hands America some flowers. Suddenly though a bullet nearly kills Magdalena and an army of bikers arrive to try and kill our heroes! No I'm not sure why.

I remember how shellshocked people were at Issue 6.

All three girls immediately disregard the task of safely driving the car to help out in the fight. It turns out that the helicopters and the bikes are all being controlled by robots cyborgs and thus our heroes have no need to hold back as they quickly wipe out the assault force.

The danger solved, our heroes set about to discover why they were attacked, sorry, I mean ask Magdalena what is going on. Sorry, what I really mean is Kate monologues about how awesome lesbians are while America and her girl fly off to flirt.

CYBORGS ARE FUCKING HUMAN BEINGS WITH CYBERNETIC ENHANCEMENTS! IS THIS SHIT CONFUSING ANDROIDS WITH CYBORGS NOW?!

In a shocking twist which completely invalidates the previous fight and makes me again wonder what exactly the point of the "no star portals" rule was, it turns out Magdalena was working for the bad guys! She injects America with something just as a helicopter crashes into the sign they are on lands to pick up the girls.

Will America get deported from her namesake by a racist Hydra CIA cell ran by Donald Trump? Dissected by scientists in an underground laboratory? Faced with a problem that could meaningfully challenge her? I doubt it! The next issue cover seems to show her and Kate Bishop forming a girlband and performing for the Champions, Ironheart and Loki.

Current year American capeshit, ladies and gentlemen!

I figured they gave up on Kate Bishop and her status as "Hawkeye" years ago when her little comic only amounted to niche success and no lasting impact on the comics.. Now she's just one of those diversity characters that shows up whenever some snotty cunt wants to remind us that IT'S [CURRENT YEAR] SHITLORDS.. and what do they do with her? Spend more time talking, gossiping, whining, eating pizza, going to coffee houses, having a night on the town, bitching, more gossiping and talking, and down quirky girl stuff… oh and one action scene that's literally over in a single page.

Also the art is even uglier than before. Nothing like giving a shit comic a visual texture that reminds you of shit.

But it's not.

I want you to imagine you're a stunt driver and you're about to do a big jump over a canyon. The side you jump from is "terrible comic" and the side you want to land on is "hilarious unintentional parody". As you're burning rubber, you're just praying you're going to hit that ramp at enough speed to make the jump. You take a deep breath as you tear up the incline and you're launched into the air. You can see "hilarious unintentional parody" getting bigger and bigger as your car falls toward it.

America is missing that jump. You see "hilarious unintentional parody" pull away from you, leaving you to fall into the black abyss of the canyon below.

Why are they invisible?

This makes no sense. I mean, they both jump out of the car but the archer girl ends in the car again, and who is driving? And i like the BOOM explosion and that is actually creative, but then if they were going with that, why did they put "kabooom".

This is some serious cargo cult behaviour. This isn't a comic, it's some comic-like activity that the authors believe will generate sales, like the natives building aeroplanes out of bamboo, thinking the aeroplane juju will bring the cargo.
But like the natives not understanding things like aerodynamics, or engines, or international trade, these SJWs don't understand plot or storytelling or panel design, or motivation, or character development, or any of the things that go into making a comic.
It's worse than idiots like Rob Liefeld imitating better cartoonists without getting any of the underlying craftsmanship, at least Liefeld actually read comics, or maybe just looked at the pictures, these assholes probably never read a comic in their life, this is probably what they imagine comics are like, but better because they have LESBIAN twice a page, and BROWN PEOPLE, and purple sparkles everywhere.
