So, I was very late watching this movie, but I was curious because of the hype. Maybe the critics were fedora wearing hipsters who barely visit a cinema? Maybe they didn't watch it and the movie poster is just used for their agenda? I dunno…
There is, in my opinion, ONE good scene in the movie (where she saves the village).
I saw some downright crippling story issues and NOONE seems to mention them anywhere. Some ruin the WHOLE movie.
the CGI was awful, and Justice League with its awful green screen will even look worse. That's going to compete with Disney? Please.
when little girl Diana jumped off the wall to escape from her mother… what the hell was she trying to do?
super annoying 300 slow-mo. I read several reviews where it was described as "not annoying".
Germans find the invisible island, including a war ship. The war ship doesn't fire at the amazons and is suddenly gone. The Germans don't return to obtain the invisible island which would be a way better plan than gas.
Dr. Poison was way more interesting than Wonder Woman. What was her motivation? Why was she evil? Where did she get that scar? What were her emotions when she was hit on? Did she turn good at the end?
Wonder Woman's hope in humanity was restored - because the holocaust and WW2 never happened. Or 9/11.
It's said the movie is a great symbol for feminism. But honestly, she doesn't do shit without the guy explaining it to her and war politics are too complicated for her, despite being a warrior. (I liked that she was often happy and her naive world view compared to those other depressive DC creeps)
Ares told noone to destroy Wonder Woman specifically. Not even a tank, special unit or so?
Ares didn't make the German evil, but the German soldiers clearly stop fighting in an instant and hug each other, and WW2 obviously never happened. So I guess, changed the dialogue due to tastefulness?!
Male protagonist could have used a parachute and grenades.
After turning against the general, she isn't jailed.
During shouting at the general, noone is even drawing a weapon or holding her back. She could be a German spy or whatever.
If Ares likes war so much and controls the higher instances, how was a peace negotiation even possible?
Ares hates the destruction of earth HE caused.
The sniper refuses to snipe, why did nobody know when they hired him?!
A friggin native American supporting British soldiers in Belgium. Yeah, right.
