Not so. The EC's vote is not official until it is counted up by joint session of Congress so there no "president elect" until they meet on January 6. If Trump were to die before that date the Congress would have to chose between Hillary and the 3rd place - Colin Powell.

This would free up the House to vote Clinton, Powell or Sanders, Kasich, Ron Paul and Spotted Eagle right?
If a person has no electors then they are not eligible? Where is that rule from? This is ignoring for now that some of these electors were faithless and could lead to a challenge.
