My advice is to avoid this method because it'll get you in a mess with framerate and whatever part you are trying to animate.

If I were to redo it, I'd make it in layers, one for static background and one for content and animate it in extremely simple animation editor (like "Tupi" on linux vid related, not mine). The learning curve in Tupi is extremely fast and you'll be able to make basic meme-tier animation within few hours. It's very limited and crash-prone so watch out. In the end, just pull the exported video through video editor with some sounds.
