Whatever the case, its best not to take the bait, and remember what we should be doing this time of year; being with and enjoying time with our family, friends, and loved ones and giving thanks to them and those who helped us when we needed it this year. I miss Germany tbqh. I 'm English but lived there for three years. I was in the RAF during the cold war. I lived in Germany in the late 80s and early 90s. We operated 'clutch' air response. Basically quick reaction.
Christmas was a magical time. The lads and I would go to the local church for midnight mass. We sang Christmas carols in German from our heart. Loads of candles and hot spicy wine; Glühwein. It's delicious.
It's very comfy here too. I have wrapped the presents for my daughter and mum. My wife passed in 2012 in a car crash and this time of year makes me miss her too much. Life continues.
