I think the better way to get quality discussion going is not to judge the cabinet picks as good or bad. It is better to try to explain them, thus gain an understanding, thus know the motives, then we can make value judgements.
I have a theory on all the cabinet picks.
I am basing this off of the pattern of selections, him being a civic nationalist, and his speeches during his rallys along the general lines of, "I know some guys, they are really nasty people, you wouldn't want to have diner with them. But they are cutthroat negotiators and I will make them work for us.
Based off of these, I believe there are three premises that can explain Trump's picks:
1. It doesn't matter if they are liked or not. He does not care how much the public like them, what matters is how well they can do their jobs.
2. He is a civnat, so race is unimportant to him. He probably doesn't think about the JQ, and if he does, he wants to pick out the jews that he thinks are useful to him.
3. He is organizing his administration like a business. His picks are not typical in that they are supposed to advise and direct the president's decisions. He is treating them like lower tier managers. He wants people who he thinks will do what he says and enact his policy, not who will push their own.
I will elaborate on point 3 in the next post, but to summarize his criteria:
1. Likability is a non-factor
2. Race is a non-factor, ability is.
3. Weak willed people are just as preferable to people already sharing his agenda.

Expounding on point 3:
I think it is Trumps plan to seemingly make concessions with the moderate cuckservatives, by electing people they would favor aka Jeb! picks. But his plan is to pick people who are not strong willed who would outright refuse to enact an order from him.
This is the list so far, and I think these three concepts best explain them as picks.

I have seen enough from Trump so far to give him the benefit of the doubt. Like many here, there is a certain amount of leeway I will give him before I will change my opinion and work against him if I deem his moves to be detrimental to America.
We live in a instant information society. We have been programmed to be impatient and want everything immediately. Trump is old school and void of this programming but still understands it and uses it to his advantage. So far, his picks have been consistent with his campaign promises. Bannon in particular as his number 2 policy guy makes me think he's legit on the nationalist elements of his campaign. The picks of Mattis, Flynn, and Tillerson suggest that he's also making a huge pivot towards Russia, which is terrifying the (((neocons))). Treasury Sec is a kike but what else is new. If Kobach gets in you can just about guarantee the wall's going up and spics are going out.

So many people on here are impatient. They think that suddenly things will happen. I suspect many are young (or shills) and don't realize how fucked things are and how long rebuilding will take. We have made MASSIVE strides with public opinion and some of our more 'extreme' views will take TIME to 'redpill' the population. Remember: you didn't become full Holla Forums overnight. Give Trump a good chance to do something. Don't expect it to be done in a few months, maybe even a year. Two years in, we should see some marked progress.
